Hi all,

I am a new mum, giving birth to my first baby, Jack, on the 21st April 2005.

I live in Belconnen and would love to meet some new mums (or more experienced mums!) in the area.

I have signed up for a new mothers group, but it doesn't start until the middle of July, and I am waiting for a place to become available at my local playgroup.

I would love to hear from any new mums out there who are wandering in the dark like me, or who are currently part of a mothers group that might welcome a newcomer....

cheers and I look forward to 'meeting' some of you!

Hi Emma,

I'm a first time mum too, and unbelievably my baby has just turned six-months old. People aren't lying when they say the time flies!

This is a great site for finding out tips of being a parent, tracking down a bargain, and help when dealing with something new!

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Hey there. Congratulations on becoming a mum and welcome to EB. Time does fly; I moved here when Harley was 3 months old and he is now 2.5; 3 in October... Where has my baby gone??

Try and go along to the get togethers; they are a lot of fun and everybody is really friendly. I work full time but I do try to go to the night/weekend ones (My husband normally goes away when they are on ) HOpefully I can meet you before we move to Darwin.

Thanks

Hi Emma

I'm Alice, my DS Ryan is now 2 (OMG!) and we live in Gungahlin. I'm working sort of part time at the moment so I might catch up with you at a Friday meet? Welcome to ACT EB! Be sure to come to lots of our activities! (can you tell I operate at a million miles an hour right now?)

Hi Emma,

I also live in Belconnen and have an almost month old son Sterling and a 15 month old daughter as well. What a shame that it takes so long to get into a mother's group, hopefully someone on this side of town will know one that is already meeting.
My DH goes back to work next week and I tend to go to Belconnen Mall a lot as I need to get out of the house whilst he is on shifts and sleeping. More than happy to catch up for a coffee or general chat if you like.

Hi and welcome to EB. And a (belated) congratulations on the birth of your son Jack. I'm a mum of a 13mo and live in the Weston Creek area ... not very far from Belconnen I've found. original.gif

Definitely come along to whatever get togethers are being organised whenever you can as it's a great way to meet the lovely women and their families who frequent this forum.

Also, I hope you don't mind but I added your details to another thread in this forum - the "Bubs of 2005" thread. As you'll see there are lots of new mums already listed there and it's a great way to discuss things that are happening about babies around the same age. Enjoy!

Cheers,
Helen.
