As someone who has lost a baby (not a twin, though), I would think that it would be important to your sister for people to remember both her babies on this day. She will probably be very relieved that you have remembered to celebrate the birth of both her twins. I imagine the day will be full of mixed emotions for her so just be there and follow her lead IYKWIM.

Perhaps write a personal card to your sister and her DH or buy a small gift for her in memory of her lost little one (a teddy, a candle or an ornament perhaps?).
You are a very sweet sister for being there for her original.gif.

I am sorry to hear about your sister's lost twin.

I am guessing this 1st Birthday will be a bitter sweet for your sister.

I totally agree with what Tilly said.

Krista, I am sorry for your sister's loss. I agree, it is important to acknowledge T's birth but it must be very difficult. I have a work colleague about to go through the 1st birthday thing too with his triplets, one of whom was lost to TTTS at 20 weeks. He and his DW are planning to have a private family commemoration, seperate from the surviving triplets' birthday celebration IYKWIM.

The AMBA website has some information for Family and Friends which you may find useful. There is also an organisation called OzMOST (Aussies Mothers of Surviving Twins) which may provide some ideas for you.
