Hi all,

As i have just moved to Yarralumla i am looking ffor a GP to see close to home. I have just found out that i am pregnant and want to know if any one has any suggestions or recommendations. This is my first and i am really unsure what to do and where to go. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thank you
Anna

There is a female GP in Yarralumla who's supposed to be v.good but I can't remember her name. I know some other ladies here go to here so they will no doubt appear soon.

Congrats on your pg!

I know it's a little further away but if you're having trouble finding a GP who is taking new patients....

Try Dr Rodney Evans at Chifley Family Practice (there's quite a few GPs there if he's busy when you need an appt). He gave me better advice during my breastfeeding difficulties than anyone else (and I asked everyone except a lactation consultant).

I see Dr Lim at Deakin Medical Centre (at the shops). I heard about her by posting on here last year. Great GP and bulk-bills for kids under 6 (very handy).

Is the GP in Yarralumla that you're referring to Steph the one that my family goes to? If so, her name is Dr Ross. I'm not sure if she is taking any more patients but I know that another couple of doctors joined the practice recently (Yarralumla Surgery - right opposite the shops) so they probably still have their books open. One is a female and I think specialises in paediatrics.

Congratulations on your pregnancy Anna!!! original.gif

Cheers,
Helen.
