Hi all
Well I am back. I have been sick with a uti. But from the 17th to the 25th i was in hospital.

It all started when i went to go to my doctors for the uti .The night before i had a really sore hip and made me limp. I had a thing called septic arthritis like 4 years ago when i was in high school.

I went to the doctors the next day and the doctor was much more worried about my hip than the uti. So she sent me to the emergency at Woden Hospital.

There i was admitted basically straight away. that night they took a sample of fluid from my hip using ultrasound as a guide. It was so so painful.the needle was like 5-10 cm long and they put it in my hip joint.

For a whole week i was in the ante natal ward. where they took heaps of bloods every day and i was on IV antibiotics. Thursday night they decided to take me off the antibiotics as they were not sure to operate or not as they were fightened about hurting the bub.

My temp went up and my hip was really sore and they said ok we are going to operate. I was so scared. As all week they were saying operate and then saying no we wont. My emotions were all over the place. The anesestis said that the operation was low risk. But i was still scared. I just got able to see my baby girl and my partner just before they whisked me away.

Well i fineally got out on the 25th . Still in alot of pain. Have to take antibiotics for a month. 8 a day. I decided to buy that inner health plus stuff so i keep healthy.

At least they cut along the same scare i had from the last operation on my hip.

I found out that i have a condition called reactive arthritis . it is an adverse reaction where my body produces more fluid in my hip when i get an infection in my body else where.and the extra fluid gives me pain and have to have it drained off by surgery.

So i have to keep really healthy and take extra vitamins. and stay away from people who are sick so i dont end up in hospital again needing surgery.

well i am going to go and sleep.
I hope every one is well

Jess, that sounds terrifying! I'm glad you're better for now, and hope the antibiotics work for you.

Perhaps you could see a naturopath to make sure you don't get thrush or other nasties from the antibiotics, and perhaps help keep your immune system firing better so this doesn't happen again?

Take care!
