Hi All - I have started a new thread as the other was getting a little long.
here is the link to the last thread :
Pregnant Mums Update #12I have finally had some frequent movements since sunday - so i feel relieved and excited! Also had my 20wk check up today with my midwife - and all seems to be going really well. Just hope my appetite comes back - so im not living on toasted sangas!!!!
BARKY : In relation to finding out the sex - i did with #1 and i tried with #2...however the cord was between the legs this time - so unless i have another scan - this one will be a suprise!
I have now updated the list as well! Still waiting to hear from some of the ladies that should have had bubs by now......how are we all going????
I also added in next to our names - what we are expecting (if we have had it confirmed) or predicting! Let me know if anyone wants theirs changed....and those i havent updated - let me know what your answer is.

I thought that I had been lurking and eavesdropping long enough so I thought I would update my details!
edd? Was 13 June, but baby is breech so it will be 3 June

o:!
so how many weeks does that make you? 37 and 3 days (I have lost the ability to count!)
hospital? Calvary Private
boy or girl? Boy
names picked out? We have a few, but keeping it to ourselves until he we see him.
how are you doing? health issues? Feeling very very tired. Legs, ankles, feet, fingers, hands and wrists have all puffed up. The joints in my fingers are a bit sore. Generally, just had enough, and feeling cranky most days

. But not long now

!!
current cravings? Anything sweet and involves chocolate. I am quite partial to Iced Chocolate and Hot Chocolates especially on these chilli mornings!
any nesting yet? Abit, I have finished the babies room, too tired to do the rest of the house.
any other news or updates? Finishing up work on Tuesday can't wait and then I go in to hospital on the Friday!!
I hope all the expected mums are doing well and for the ones who are close to the end, just remember yes there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! I'm off to lurk and eavesdrop again, will post when the bundle is brought into the world.

Morning All,
Well, I'm still waiting. I can't believe I'm now overdue. I didn't think I'd even make my due date. I had a stretch and sweep yesterday so hopefully things get started soon. She could feel the babies head and said he is in the perfect position to come out and I'm about 50% effaced.
Can't remember who was asking but we found out the sex at the 18 week ultrasound. We had a lot of people telling us it was wrong to find out but it's none of their business. We wanted to know and are glad we did.
Well, hopefully next time I post I will be including a pic of my little man.
Cheers,

Jodie

Hi Everyone,
I had my first midwife appointment today which went well. Bubs has a nice strong heartbeat. I think I have had some feeling of movement but only very occasionally. I am finally feeling better and can now eat chocolate which I have been off since being pregnant.I can't wait until my next scan so I can find out the sex, well if it will let me.... Has anyone else had headaches with their pregnancy. I seem to be getting alot of hormonal headaches. I hope everyone is well.

Evening all,
Thought I'd just pop in and update on what's happening. I'm still waiting. Now 1 week overdue. I'm booked in for an induction on Monday so I'm going to try and not think about going in to labour before then as it's driving me insane. So I guess my due date is now Monday 6 June.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
Cheers,

Thought I'd update here :-)
EDD? oct 2nd
so how many weeks does that make you? nearly 24
hospital? Calvary private, we have our pre-admission there in 1.5 weeks.
names picked out? No, we are hopeless. Early on, we looked madly. On finding out babies sex at around week 14, we have relaxed, and feel "safe" in the knowledge it'll be easier as we cut down the possibilities by 50%! Hmmm, it is going to be harder than we think
current cravings? Apples, apples, apples, and instant decaf coffee.
any nesting yet? Not nesting, more a feeling of liking to be organized? Is that a form of nesting?
any other news or updates? No, all is going really well and the tummy is finally out there.

Hi eboyd....welcome & congrats. How has your preg been so far? Is this #1?
well i have had a stomache bug all weekend - popped into the birth centre today to hear bubs heartbeat (and to have a little peace of mind) as i hadnt had any movements since sat morning. All was good - nothing abnormal - woohoo! So hopefully i will start feeling a little better soon.
How is everyone else doing?
Good luck Christie03 for your coming week!
Samanthan - the name you have picked out is gorgeous! And im glad all is well for a normal birth!
So where is everyone booked into to have their bubs? Im at the birth centre at canberra hospital - i had dd there 2 years ago and it was a fantastic experience. And to make it even more special - i am seeing the same midwife who delivered DD!

Thanks for the welcome karasmum, so far I have had a pretty average pregnancy by all accounts. My husband says that I am like a sample box of chocolates, had every pregnancy "symptom" known to man but just not badly (except the heartburn which I would love to know how to get rid of - gaviscon doesn't work too well and I can't have dairy!). Yes it is my first and I too are going through the Birth Centre at canberra hospital. Going to see my mid wife tomorrow actually. I have no doublt that bubs is still in there as he reminds me almost hourly, but then by the sounds of things he is unusally active, even more so since i have stepped up the excersize (from nothing). I started the balancing bellies class on wednesdays through the hospital and love it.
Anyway must dash
hope all is well with everyone

Lucy - COngrats on the safe arrival of your little boy. Im glad things are starting to settle in....before you know it he will be off to school!
Emma - The balancing bellies class is good - i did them last time i was pregnant. I must get off my bum and get in there to do it again! If you want a buddy to chat to there - let me know what class you do and ill try and do the same one! Cant help much on the heartburn issue - i only had it right at the end of my last pregnancy and i couldnt get rid of it either. I hope youstart to feel better soon......
Well i am glad to be feeling a little better after the long weekend of having a stomache bug...i think it was something i ate on saturday.
Hope everyone else is well....

edd? 12/8 by my dates though OB says 17/8 from Nuchal scan dating.
so how many weeks does that make you? 32
hospital? Calvary Private
boy or girl? suprise
names picked out? Ewan or Sacha.
how are you doing? health issues? Lots of pelvic pain probable SPD see physio next week, get to the point where its almost unbearable to walk esp. if I do too much - natures way of saying slow down I guess !!
current cravings? none - just started Zantac so that I can get my appetite back
any nesting yet? too sore really though I cleared out spare room week before last to make way for a visit from MIL (thank goodness thats all passed now)
any other news or updates? OB won't let me work past 37 weeks (not that I'm complaining -though i had planned to go to 39). Recently had a small PV bleed most likely due to stress of MIL visit plus finishing off uni assignment but all is ok and over now.
Looking forward to only 5 weeks left of work and getting a chance to make one of the GTGs before bubs makes an entrance (hoping for a VBAC)

Afternoon All,
Thought I'd better update.
Campbell Scott was born 5 June (10 days overdue) weighing 7 pound 13, 50 cm long. Everything is going really well except he doesn't seem to like sleeping when DP and I go to bed until about 1am.
I went through the CMP at Canberra Hospital. If I'm ever pregnant again I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are the best ladies to take you through pregnancy and an unbelievable support through labour. I'm actually a bit sad cause I had my last checkup today.
Well, goodluck to all waiting on your bundles of joy.

any other news or updates? No news is good news. Have a check up with a dr next Wednesday.

how are you doing? health issues? Everything's been going along swimmingly well, although I am getting achy and very sore in the pelvis - it's not PSD, it's just stretching, but boy it's stiff and sore. I have a cold too, which is not nice when all you can take is panadol.

Hi,
just thought that I might update, have been reading loads of posts from this site for awhile now.
I have had to miss the last two of my balancing bellies classes which really annoys me as I was just getting into it. The first time I had hurt my back, doing too much in the house cleaning front, then this week I have had a cold and feeling very sorry for myself. All better now though, so fingers crossed I will make it back there this week.
I had my first comment from a stranger yesterday and surprise of all surprise it was from a male! Evidently he has a partner who is pregnant so was just wanting to know how my pregnancy was going. Its nice to know that I am finally obviously pregnant, my DH reackons I have been for quite sometime. Talking about DH, I can't believe the change in him, the past 1-2 months he actually does the dishes without being asked, and on a regular basis, and has started to tidy up after himself. I hope it continues once bubs is born!
I have finally sorted the heartburn/indigestion issue,I switched from using Gaviscon liquid to Rennie tablets. I find they work much better, and don't taste half as bad. Well it sounds like DH is back home so must dash, hoping to spend some quality time with him this afternoon, isn't happening much atm. His work schedule is crazy.

I'd like to join the ACT Pregnant mums group. I'm 29 and my husband and I are expecting our first baby in Novmber (due date 5th). Have had a really good pregnancy so far, suffered from some morning sickness (or in my case afternoon sickness)until about week 10 and apart from a bit of tiredness have been feeling pretty well.

how are you doing? pretty well I guess. some ligament stretching pain and sciatica right down my right side. Very low blood pressure, so a bit faint!
current cravings? french toast, bacon, cooked banana and maple syrup all together. it's delicious!!!
any nesting yet? no. I wish....
any other news or updates? Am panicking a bit about the birth. I am trying to find out about anyones 'active birth' experiences. Particularly (but not only) at Clvary public. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It is amazing how many of us there are having babies - I see pregnant women and babies everywhere I go now that I am pregnant...I never noticed it so much before!

Hi All,
This is my first time on EB and my second child on the way. I'm only 7.2 weeks and have severe morning sickness, but thankful to pregnant at all. 9 weeks ago my GP told me that my oestrogen was so low getting pregnant again might not happen at all.Text

Just wanted to wish all the new mums and soon to be mums all the best

There are so many of you, it's wonderful and VERY exciting

It seems like only yesterday I was in this thread, but then at the same time it feels like it was AGES ago

All the best and make sure you enjoy being pg as it really does go SOOOO fast (at the time of course it's very slow).
Hope you've gone into labour Sam and I hope some of those natural remedies work for you! They didn't for me, Ayden was just too damn comfy

Welcome Lea

OK, look forward to following all your progress

Hi Aimee
Welcome to EB. I've only just joined as well and I'm really looking forward to getting to know some Canberra mums.
I know what you mean about always worrying if everything is ok with the baby. You're certainly not alone with that, and I'm sure everything will be great with your bub. So do you know that you're having a boy, or is it a gut feeling?

Aimee,
There's a young parents board under The Parents Room on the main Essential Baby Forum page - you should get lots of support from other young mums in there.
But don't worry - I don't think it matters how old you are - we all worry about our little munchkins. Mine's due in 9 days and I'm still worried about him/her, although from the amount of kicking/action I'm getting, I don't think there's too much wrong

Cheers,
Lily

Aimee, I have sent you a PM (Private message). Glad you found us ok

As the others have mentioned, it's normal to worry about your bubba's health. You still do when they are here, and in fact if anything -it's almost a bit harder, as I sometimes feel like I can not protect Ayden from as many external things as I could when he was inside me. Tyler will be a very healthy little man with LOADS of love and attention.
Good luck to everyone else - makes me wish I was pregnant again - but not for a while me thinks!

Wow there certainly are alot of new pregnant women. I haven't posted for awhile as I have been having trouble logging in. Anyway I am now 24wks pregnant with no 2 and so far feel pretty good. I am however starting to feel a bit anxious about coping with 2 children as my 1st son will only be 17mths when the baby comes. i guess every one has that initial fear of coping. I can't wait to meet DS#2 but can't help worrying. How is every one else getting along. Congrats to those of you who have just had babies. I am sure you are enjoying your little munchkins. Belly rubs.....
