HI - I am going to a wedding on the weekend and want to make a necklace, so I went into bead street in Philip and saw on the display case a lariat with string, rather than wire. I really loved it. So I bought beads to make it, and now don't know how to make it up!
Has anyone done the class and know how to make one?
I have bought coloured string as thats what the one in the store had. HELP! can't find any instructions on the internet that match...
I will pop into the shop tomorrow and take a photo I think, hopefully they do not kick me out!

Most of the girls at Bead Street are very helpful when it comes to information about how to make up items (unless they run a specific class on it). Many a time I would be stuck behind a customer needing lots of advise on a project they were trying to complete biggrin.gif

The lariat necklaces I've made were on tiger tail and it was really just a case of threading on the beads for a long time and finishing it off with a couple of fancy 'statement' beads. I made one for my daughter too, but attached a strong magnetic clip to either end so she could still twirl it around a few times but not rely on her keeping it on.

If the bead street girls won't help the bead place in Queanbeyan are also really knowledgeable too.

Thanks - the problem is there is a class for that necklace, but not until after the wedding cry1.gif !
