Just wondering where you hire these from, preferably Northside.
Thanks!

Woolworths and Coles normally hire them out. You could try there... :-)

I hired a britex machine from Woolies on the weekend (apparently it is a bit better than the rug doctor one) and it was great. $39 for 24 hours hire and it was easy. It is slightly noisy, but I still did it while the girls were asleep and it was OK. Carpets dried quickly and got most of the stains out. I do it a couple of times a year just because we have toileting accidents and food accidents. I would love to get rid of the carpet! I have a good vacuum cleaner, but it is truly amazing how much crap the steam machine brings out of the carpet.
Edited to add - I also did the car carpets and seats and the lounge at the same time.

Irene,
Bunnings have them and so do Coles at Jamison. If given the choice, I recommend buying the spot cleaner as well, this is amazing.
I do carpet and furniture, in fact over Easter we hired it particularly to do the furniture. Works wonders and I find the process quite therapeutic

I've hired one from Woolies in Gungahlin. Very happy with the outcome, cleaned carpets, lounge, dining chairs and car mats.

I have hired from woolies at Charnwood and kippax and also Magnet Mart in Gunghalin.
After yesterday and today's vomitting efforts we will be hiring one in the next few weeks as well.
We have always hired Rug doctor ones and have found them easy to use and reasonably priced.
