Meg,

I too got them SOOOO badly all over my tummy to above my belly button. My ob diagnosed them as PUPPS - which stands for pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (I know - what the??). Anyway, he gave me a topical ointment to put on them as they were so itchy. As far as them going away, sadly they never will but they will fade into silvery lines and not be nearly as visible one day. I was so paranoid and upset about them at first but now I look at Ayden and think he is worth every strech mark under the sun original.gif Here is a link to an article about PUPPS them which may help (mind you as far as standard stretch marks go, sadly there is not much you can do about them). http://members.optushome.com.au/westhoff/puppp/

P.S - have a look at the photos on this website and I gaurantee you will feel better about your stretch marks - I sure did wink.gif (oh, those poor women)

Hi,

I too got terrible marks all over my stomach below my bellybutton (which surprised me, as my tummy was never exactly flat beforehand!).
I had stretchmarks when I was 16 from rapid weight gain after a road accident, and they do fade away to silvery marks after a few years.
Treat them like battle scars!
