I hope everyone has a good 2 weeks and maybe we can organise another catch up maybe at Kids Rampage or a nice park somewhere. Any suggestions?

Laurel's got morning tea on the 14th.

I thought we could have another one the week after to replace the playgroup.

kids rampage will be packed and probably with ferel kidlets lol I like the sound of the park idea better he he

Can I suggest the kids play area in either the hellenic club or southern cross club in woden.

They are indoors, the kids can go crazy and we can all sit down for a tea or coffee.

The above links should be testament to why it would be immpossible for me to host a morning tea at the moment. Chris has gone crazy with the entertainment area renovations!!!

I'm happy for a club for a get-together in the second week. I've heard that the Mawson Club has a good kids area as well?

The Mawson club is good, we went there for a school mums meet up the other week. The service is a tad slow, even when it's empty, but they make great hot chocolates and cakes

Kath there should be a edit button in photobucket to make them smaller? Looks like a lot of work is going on in your back yard!

Kath at least he is getting motivated to do some. Lets discuss the next play date next week at laurels. Kath do you want to car pool. I can put Camerons car seat in my car easily.

Morning Tea tomorrow

Laurel- We won't be able to make tomorrow's morning tea as much as Mara is going stir crazy to get out of the house and me too,Kay is just not up to and has been sleeping quite a bit only been up a few hours each day... enjoy the lovely morning though,we all miss you! xox

Laurel, I think maybe it was just because she fell and worked herself up too much? I hope shes not sick.

Poor thing!! Ryan is complaining of a headache and is unsettled so hopefully they both just need some rest.

I am thinking so too now Tasha.

She slept and woke up fine! All her colour is back and she is eating and drinking. Was thinking we were in for the full on gastro that is going around but now I think not.

Hope everyone is feeling better, I think we've got the seasonal cough and runny nose going around this place atm!
Just what poor Kay needed.
Does anyone have any tips or thing they do to keep these bugs at bay or is it just part of canberra life?? lol

Well I have started to include more raw striny bark honey (similar to manika but not as expensive, from mountain foods in griffith) and garlic in our diets to booze the immune system. Honey on toast instead of vegemite for breakfast and garlic in the form of homemade garlic bread or garlic mash potatoes.

Can I just get numbers of who is coming on Monday?

Lucia (hannah) and I (alex) are coming.

We aren't going to make it.

DH is having the day off and we are going to do some family stuff.

Natasha I won't be able to come tomorrow either. Have just gotten back from the wedding in wagga and we are all buggered. Have a good time everyone else.

Sorry Tasha, we all have a cold, im sure just the usual canberra cold, but also Tim has been up all bloody night (and the weekend) on call, he's working again now!!, but will be home soon, so might stay and get some housework as well as spend some time together.

Hannah and Scarlett are not feeling so great and won't be making it and Han was on adult morning tea,she asked me last night but I have no adult friendly food in the house, no good stuff anyway lol

Thank you so much mumoftwo, i really appreciate you taking over this for me at the last minute.

Sorry i didnt post last night, i thought i would see how we're feeling this morning. Scarlett turned out with a fever last night complaining she was freezing and shivering and felt hot to touch. She seems brighter this morning, but still complaining of a "sick" stomach and a sore "chest" (her throat).
Im also hoarse and have mouth ulcers, and suspected something was up when i sounded very manly last night, so i think i might loose my voice as scarlett did the week before last.

I am very sorry if we've passed anything on yesterday, and also sorry to leave you in the lurch today for adults morning tea, i was really looking forward to doing something special for you all.

We're not going to make it - again - although Cameron is a LOT better than he was it's probably better to keep him quiet today until the ab's really kick in! (has another ear infection).
