I found this post on the VIC thread yesterday and it broke my heart. I've re-posted it here because I'm sure some of you would like to help also. I've contacted the ACT co-ordinator for donations of items, and will be dropping off things that I can give sometime this week. If you'd like to do this too, then you can either drop them at my place in Kaleen and I'll arrange for them to get to her, or you can contact her yourself to arrange collection/drop off. Some of you may have heard of the recent closing (forced closing) of a 'puppy farm' in Ballarat, VIC, this is quite a sad and very disturbing story, i will put a link here for you to read and look at pics if you wish.... but please keep in mind.... THIS STORY AND IMAGES MAY DISTRESS SOME PEOPLE!

Basically, all these animals were mis-treated, and in a very bad way, and finally they have been forced to shut down.

The puppies and dogs will be released no later than 24th July, but we are hopeing for them to be released much earlier.

These dogs/puppies will need homes, foster carers, and alot of love! There are many popular breeds, and they will be available for adoption after they are bathed, cleaned up, had any medical attention attended to, vacinated, etc etc

There is a large rescue mission going ahead, and we really need your help!! were not asking for money or anything, in fact, its alot more simple than that

(there could be up to 300 dogs/puppies by the time they get out, as there are pregnant b*tches there at the moment)

For the dogs/puppies we need:

moving/transport Crates, Pet packs and playpens

Bedding..all sorts

Coats and Jumpers...all sizes

Containers of all kinds for water and food bowls (chinese take away, ice cream, margarine etc)

Collars

Leads

Food...any can or dry food (any type, any brand!)

Grooming, clipping tools

Dog wash, flea wash etc

If you can help in ANY way, with any of these products, PLEASE let me know! Even if its just saving all your containers, we need those just as much as everything else!

If you would like anymore details on this, please dont hesitate to ask, this is all legit and legal proceedings! If your unsure about anything, i will pass on some of the contact numbers for those in charge so you can check things out for your own peice of mind

I read this article the other day and am also going through my stuff to see what I can some up with. Can you PM me the Canberra Coordinators details? I have emailed her today, so if she's closer to where I am I'll drop them off to her directly. (I'm Southside).

I'm also happy to collect from anyone Southside that can't make it to the drop offs.
