hiya
top of our girls list is Amelie, was just wondering if you think that Milly is a possible nickname.
also on our boys list is Elliot (scottish spelling) do you think that Eli could still be a nickname?

I really love both those names.
I also know a Amelie who's nickname is Milly and Elliot who's nickname is Eli, so yes I think you can use those nn's for those names.
We tossed up between Amelia & Amelie - because we wanted Milly as a nn - so yes I think it can - Amelie was actually our fav. but didn't go with our surname.
Eli for Elliot - if you mean "E Lie" - not sure if that would be first nn to come to mind - but if you call him that then that is probably what others will call him too.

I'm not a fan of Milly as a nickname for Amelie or Amelia but plently of people seem to like it so I think it's fine. I prefer the nicknames Ammy, Mel, Melly or Lee for Amelie.
For Elliot I would also use the nickname Eli.

Both are gorgeous and great names and nicknames. If you use those nicknames, others will follow I think!

Great names and NN. As PP said whatever you call your kids so will everyone else - unless they get stuck with something like chook or dogga later on

I think Milly comes naturally from Amelia or Amelie, but Eli not so from Elliot.
That said, however, you can get any nn from any name really - I know a guy whose name is Mark Richard, nn Tom

I love both those names and the nick names!!
My DH is big on nick names and we can only have a name if the nick name is good too!!
Good choices!!
