My DS wakes up about 6 - 6.30 am and is down again by 9am at the latest, He then sleeps until about 11 -11.30 and is again down again by 1 - 2pm. This seems like alot of sleep and not enough awake time. How much awake time should he be having? He is 7 months old this week.

I wouldnt be too worried. We all need different amounts of sleep regardless of age. If he is happy and alert when awake that is what i would be focussing on.
Enjoy having a great sleeper

I wouldn't worry about it either if he seems happy.

You don't mention an afternoon nap? What are his night sleeps like?

He doesnt sleep in his cot all night and wont go back to sleep unless he comes in our bed.
He is very grumpy in the afternoons and doesnt usually go down until 7ish.
