What activities/sport does your daughter do (ones that turn 5 this year)? I am wondering what to get my daughter into this year (if it's not too late). She does swimming on Mondays.
We are on the central coast.

Hia, i've asked the same question too, but in my state.
DD is liking the idea of Tennis, also she loves to run, so i was thinking about little athletics too.
Good luck with it!

I think it depends very much on the child. One of my dd's has done ballet and swimming since she was 4. She is more artistic and is also asking for art classes. My other dd is nearly 4 and does swimming. She is more sporty so next year I think she might enjoy something like ozkick, tennis or even mini karate or something similar. What types of things does your dd like?

DD2 is 4.9 years old and has been doing ballet/dance since she was 2.5 years old and loves it. She also does swimming and started general gymnastics this year.
When she starts school (in a couple of weeks) she'll probably do some after school activities such as tennis or some other type of sports clinics that the school run every so often.
I agree with PPs - depends on what types of things she likes.

My twin DD's are 4.4yrs old and do swimming lessons and recreational gymnastics. One likes the swimming lessons but the other hates it. But they both love gymnastics which they do through our local youth club.

Jayde has just recently started gymnastics through our local club and loves it
mumto3princesses...Are you in Sydney by any chance? Your story sounds a lot like the other mum that goes to DD's gym

Hi Everyone
thanks for your replies. I am just north of Sydney.
My daughter keeps asking to play soccer but my husband doesn't think girls should play it. She likes arty/craft type stuff and singing.
I will keep watching this post.

DD1 turns 5 in Oct and we do swimming lessons once a week, playgroup, dayare 2 days, but I am also thinking of something like little athletics cause she needs some help in that area.
We did a co-ordination type course for 3 months which was running, throwing, jumping, walking on ropes and crawling throuh tunnels and they loved it.
