Oh, I'd be up for a Christmas in July! I was bummed that I missed last nite, but circumstances (hubby on call) dictated. I know a few of the lovely ladies on here and will meet some more at the bookclub, but would love a girls nite out!
brazen
perhaps another dinner in about 6 weeks?
shine
or we could just meet up for a drink, once a month as a regular gathering and every 3rd one do dinner? Nothing formal, make it if you can and that way we may actually get out the house more often and not be too scared at staying out passed 9.30pm original.gif

(Might also keep the $$ down)

As the weather gets colder - would anyone be interested in a traditional afternoon tea at the hyatt or a hot chocolate get together at Koko Black on a sunday afternoon during winter.
Puggle
Gee Chantel, you'd have to twist my arm wink.gif.
dbmum
Yeah, you'd have to twist my arm too to go to Hyatt afternoon tea or hot chocolate afternoon......... YUMMO!

liking the sound of drinks meetups too.
beaglebabe
I might even have to come out of lurkdom for a Hyatt afternoon tea, or Koko Black trip. I'm generally a bit on the shy side when it comes to big meet ups, but my sweet tooth would probably get the better of me :-)

Always wanted to do a Hyatt morning tea! Koko Black is pretty good too for their hot chocolates... mmmm
canberramomma
Not sure I have anything 'posh' enough to wear to the Hyatt! How scary!

Would be up for drinks or dinner, though. Somewhere they do veggie stuff, maybe???
lisacat
I have always wanted to do 'tea' at the hyatt and have heard many good thing about koko black. Count me in. Anyone want to organise it???
Susana
High Tea is great. We've done this before as a group and it was a lot of fun. Muppet ate an incredible amount of food ph34r.gif laughing2.gif

They are OTT with bookings for groups though. They would have charged us for the number booked regardless of who showed up!!! So as long as people don't pull out at the last minute it would be fine.

I do not think KOKO Black is big enough for us all, we'd be lucky to get a table for six, not sure that they take bookings for a hot choc cry1.gif

Im glad people liked my suggestion - however may I hand over the organising to someone who knows what to do, I'm completely hopeless when it comes to organising stuff.

What about 1st June or last weekend in April? my DH is away most of May with work and I do so wish to come hands.gif
Susana
Dixie: I am def. out for the weekend of the 4-5 May. Other weekends are fine for me.

... sounds bit risky!

Well yeah. The Hyatt took down The Crone's CC details and she would have been stuck with paying for any non attenders. I'd be p*ssed if I were to organise, hand out my CC details and then have to pay for people who didn't turn up.

Luckily everyone was there...pigging out, drinking champagne etc laughing2.gif Man I really want to go now!!!

QUOTE
BTW, can you drink champagne at this high tea business??

Um yep. You get one on arrival with High Tea (ie afternoon tea) or a juice.
Nut
Last weekend in April is the Anzac Day long weekend (which also happens to be my birthday) so that might not be so good if people are planning to go away for the weekend.

Hi All. High tea at the Hyatt is good. I went there a few months ago and it was very nice - especially the champagne biggrin.gif . There was quite a decent buffet (sweet and savoury), not just a few biscuits, as I was expecting. All of those dates mentioned should be ok for me.

Has there ever been a 'family get together' with all you ACT EB guys? Or is that way too hard to organise?

Sometimes there has been morning teas where pretty much anyone is invited to someones house (if someone is game enough to open their house to a mass of EBers) and every christmas there is usually a family BBQ type thing.
