And while I am at it, here's our update.
Christopher had a very busy April. Not only did he celebrate his first birthday but he well and truly started walking.
It all started on Canberra Day when he very unsteadily took four steps. In between then and his birthday he took the occasional steps but it didn't click with him until (of all days) his birthday. DH came home at lunchtime to help me prepare for his birthday party the next day and it is then that it all started. I noticed Christopher started to take a few steps away from the lounge chair. He then stopped as if to think deeply about what he was doing. DH came around the corner and saw what was happening and stopped. The Birthday Boy then continued his walking with a huge smile on his face. That was it and he hasn't stopped!!!

The next day was his birthday party. The weather was terrific and so alot of time was spent outside. He had a great time, tasted his first birthday cake, got alot of wonderful presents and so wore himself completely out (not to mention his parents too, lol).
So how is everyone else travelling?
Cheers,
Helen.

Thanks for the birthday greetings Helen.
Emily is almost walking now. She has taken 4 steps, but they were very wobbly. I think that she will be walking properly in a couple of weeks.
She is going to have a new brother or sister next January or December depending on the caeser date. If it is december, I will have my wish of having a 2003, 2004 and 2005 baby lol. I think that I will be cutting it a bit fine to have a 2006 baby lol.
Emily says ta now and she also copies me when I say light. It comes out more like ight though lol. She is great when it comes to solids, she eats anything. It is great and makes it easy to feed her.
I think that is her caught up, very briefly. Happy birthday to Zoe as well.

Thought it about time to get back on the boards.
Hamish and Dylan are doing great. turn "6 months" on Sunday - oh how the time flys, entertaining the thought of "going again" at the moment, thinking to start around Nov-Dec.
The boys have mastered the rolling over and are trying sooo hard to crawl, they get so frustrated at times.
I am starting to enjoy the routine we have at the moment regarding feeding solids 3 times a day and finally sleeping through!! I think I may have got the combination just right (for now)
not sure what else to say, looking forward to see what all the other babes are up to, I love to see what I have to prepare for in the months to come.

Its been ages since I last posted well at least 4 days. Ryan has just cut 2 more teeth so now has 4. It has been a sleepless week but heres hoping we get some sleep tonight. Ryan is now almost running and is into everything. We are amazed everyday at the things that he accomplishes. He loves music and will dance to anything even ads if they have a tune. I can hardly believe that in 6 mths time he will be a big brother. He hardly seems big enough.

Well we don't have any walking to report like most of the rest of you! (thank goodness!) Sophie has had a big week with her first roll-over and her first "out loud" giggles. She's happily sleeping in her cot in her own room now for every sleep which was a very easy transition really. I was expecting tears and troubles, but she took to it quite happily. We have also decided to move house in 3 weeks, so it will be interesting to see how hard that is with a 5 month old. She was due for her second lot of immunisations today, but the clinic called and said the nurse had called in sick - so now it's next week instead. Phew! Lucky for me. I think I hate them more than Sophie! Claps and loud applause for all the clever babies!!!!!
Our Christmas Angel is growing so fast!

Darcy had his 6 month needles yesterday. It was so funny watching him open his mouth up for the polio liquid, I suspect he was expecting rice cereal.
No crawling here yet but won't be too far away. I have caught him a few times in the crawling position but then he flops forwards

Mostly rolling to get places and attack the poor dog etc. Once he works it all out though he is going to give Buster and Delia heaps.
No teeth either. He is taking to solids really well, which is a relief after Miss Fussy. Sleeping well. It's all good really

Haven't posted for ages. Kody has 2 (very sharp) teeth. She has been quite grumpy the last 2 days and the rosey cheeks have returned, so I think others may be on the move too. No signs of crawling here either, she still gets frustrated on her tummy. So much so, that she won't even roll over. At least I know she will still be in the same spot when I come back into the room (LOL). She has gone from laying down to sitting up though, I swear she should have six-pack abs, because she when laying down her head is always off the floor in one big sit-up. She is talkings lots, "dad-dad" "bub-bub" and occasionally "mum" how rude, aren't I the one who feeeds her and changes her nappy, oh well (LOL).

Jessica is growing up slowly but surely. This month, she's learned to crawl a couple of lunges forward out of a sitting position, before pushing back up to a sitting position. She still only rolls back to front. Oh and her pincer grip is so well developed that she can locate and eat small items in the carpet that were absolutely not visible to my naked eye.
And don't get me started on solids - they are soooo not happening here! In desperation, after having all my lovely pureed concoctions rejected, I let her chew on some pizza crust scraps at Zeffirelli's tonight - which she ate with absolutely no problems!
Good to hear everyone's news.

Hi Rosie,
Welcome to EB and to this thread. And I've just added your girls to our list - Happy Birthday (in advance) to them both.
Sorry if this is a little short but I've only just got in the door and I've got a million things to do this afternoon.
I hope we meet at a morning tea sometime soon.
Cheers,
Helen.

welcome rosie

kristen, i know the feeling - i turned around today to find that ryan had passed his lunch (some can or jar thing that the leftovers were in the fridge) to emelia and she was scoffing into it, lumps and all. she actually seems to like lumpy food as last night she ate his baked potato and spag bol sauce.

I've created a "Bubs of 2004 ... in 2005" thread that we could keep adding to. If it gets too big then I'll start another one then.
Request to wonderful moderator - can you please lock this thread now? Thanks.
Cheers,
Helen.
