Hi All
Well I am having a pretty average day I must say. I feel like the tiredness has caught up with me and just feel pretty down really. I finally got Zoe to go to sleep after a lot of whinging and protest and then Eden took a bit of settling but finally went off to sleep, then not long after that Zoe woke up screaming because her nose was blocked, which in turn woke Eden

. This didn't really help my mood. They are both quite now so lets hope they sleep a little more

!
Zoe had dancing this morning and it was the last one for the term, so the one where all the mummys get to watch, she was so cute, she has learnt quite a lot.
Got our new medicare cards today, it was quite cute to see all our names on there. Feels like there's a lot of us now

.
Settling - Does anyone find it takes their bub a while to settle off into a good sleep sometimes? For some of Eden's sleeps during the afternoon early evening mainly I find she'll lay there then start crying, I'll go back and give the dummy or resettle etc and leave when she is quite and calm but still awake and then this will repeat itself, sometimes this has gone on for quite a while before she is actually asleep. Anyone else??? I am really trying to avoid nursing/rocking her to sleep as I believe in not starting something unless it is what I want to have to do every time IYKWIM.
ALICIA (KEANE) - Thanks for the reinforcement re the b/feeding. I personally don't believe B/F will prevent illnesses as such either. My mum B/F me for 9 months and I had chronic childhood asthma and still have it to some degree and she b/fed my sister for 2 1/2 years and she has chronic eczema sp? So go figure... At least you have a plan to stop at 8 weeks, I feel like I'm in limbo with it, I'd love it if I could get to at least 3 months, I doubt we'll get to 11 months like I did with Zoe however. Hope your dad had a nice birthday.
NADINE - Sorry to hear you're having issues with the b/feeding too. What is vasospam? I have an inverted right nipple which was painful but is pretty much 'broken in' now, still hurts a bit though

. The self doubt is really the hardest part I think. After the scare with Eden ending up in hospital at 2 weeks old, it just threw my b/f confidence completely.
LELAH - Hope you managed the Sunday without DH. I can relate as my DH works alternate weekends so is only home every second weekend, he does have a day off during the week however to compensate.
KAZZA - Yay for Charlotte having a good night, you must feel on top of the world with a big sleep like that. She is a clever girl with the rolling, would love to see it. From memory Zoe was about 10 weeks when she went from tummy to back and was almost 6 months when she went from back to tummy. Which way is Charlotte going? It does sound like Zoe and Riley are behaving similarly at the moment!!!
NINJA - Hope you are fully over the allergic reaction. Yay for DH cooking up a storm on the bbq, that all sounds lovely. DH has been helping out in the kitchen here and there but cooking isn't really his forte, he does do a lot to help with the housework/washing however which is great. Gotta laugh at Angus being 'bogus'

.
SHERRI - Sorry to hear that Chloe wasn't feeding very well for you, hope it has gone back to normal. Eden also does the pulling away from the boob thing sometimes, but I am really clueless as to why I'm afraid so can't offer any enlightening advice, she doesn't do this when she has her top up on the bottle however!!!
ALICIA (CTOO) - Glad you got your forms off. How did you go getting Preston checked at the dr?
TASH - Glad you had a nice time at the wedding with Jesse being so cooperative, good for you. Sounds like Sam had a fab weekend too.
SUNNY - The mother guilt can be quite overwhelming and is an ongoing thing I must say. I think it is just because we love our children so much, all we want is the very best for them which is what we all strive for, but at the same time we are human and can only do so much. Sometimes (well most of the time) we expect super human effort from ourselves and then feel guilty for not living up to our own expectations.
STREAKY - I am also not looking forward to the needles, ours are still a couple of weeks away. A necessary evil I guess but no fun all the same. Yep the time sure does fly doesn't it.
TRINA - Love the new sig, your girls are gorgeous.
SANZEL - The trip to Brisbane should be fun. Glad you are getting some good rest and yay for Natashas big smiles.
LUCKYKEL - Sorry to hear there is no mum's group for you to go to. At least you have all of us

. Glad to hear that the Infants Friend is helping Heath, out of curiosity how often do you give it to him and do you do before or after feeding?
