I need to buy a playpen and at least one safety gate as little Miss Jessica is too mobile to be safe - and I don't think I'm going to have much success childproofing the house with 3 other little bodies dropping Lego everywhere.

Does anybody have any suggestions for the best (and cheapest!) place to buy playpens, safety gates and latches?

I would not buy the cheapest of any of these things unless they were recommended by Kidsafe/Choice etc. Kidsafe sells latches at their shop in Pearce, not sure about gates and playpens. For the larger items, call Kidsafe or have a look in the Choice guide to baby products (the library has recent editions) for their recommendations.
