My son is 2 and a half and normally when he does a poo in his nappy he will 'gladly' come and tell me and wiggle his bum at me. Now these poos are usually of the soft kind (which is what he normally does).

Now on occasion, he will do what I call 'log' poos, you know solid poos? Well when he does these, he refuses to let you know he's done a poo and he runs off and won't let you change his nappy.

We have tried asking if he wants the toilet, but nope. It ends up that we have to grab him, quickly change him and then as soon as that's done he's fine again...


I am a bit at all of this. Any ideas?

My only thought is that maybe the soft ones are uncomfortable to be sitting in but when they are harder they don't bother him as much!
Not sure.....
