Hello ACT ladies,

I am thinking about changing my GP and am looking one on the Southside (male or female, doesn't matter). I have been TTC#1 for some time and have just had my 2nd m/c. The gyno at the hospital recommended I find a good GP for ongoing care, only problem is it seems that in the ACT their books are all closed!

If anyone knows of a good GP or practice whose books are still open your recs would be much appreciated.

TIA,
Quintessentia

I used to live in the ACT and we used to go to Dr Lau...who I have is great with kids as he has his own and with me and DH. His books were open when we left...not sure now. Deakin Medical Centre.

Good Luck

Hi

The Sharma sisters at Isabella Plains Medical Centre have been recommended to me a few times. One of the doctors specialises in family planning, I believe one of the other doctors that practices there used to be an Ob I am not sure of her name but I could try and find out who for you.

i see Dr Rasaratnam at tuggeranong square medical centre.
he is great and normally easy to get into.
he use to work in the delivery ward at TCH.

i have been in Canberra just on 2yrs and have seen 3 or 4 doctors and he is fantastic, he is Indian (i think) but he is very clear and easy to understand, he is fantastic with DD.

Both of the Dr Sharma's at Isabella Plains are qualified OB's, but practice as GP's.

Edit to fix typo.

Another DR Rasaratnam patient. I never have a problem making last minute apps.

Dr Rashmi Sharma at Isabella Plains is fantastic but I believe she has recently closed her books.

I have seen Dr. Tehmina Rauf - Rahim and I really like her. She is now my second choice when Rashmi isn't available. I just saw on their website that she also has post-graduated qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology.

You can find a full list of doctors and their quals on their website - www.isabellamedical.com.au

I use Dr Haynes at Crawford Street Medical Centre, Queanbeyan. I was recommended him when I moved here last year 8 weeks pregnnt with ds, and found him to be lovely.
