OK, so DD1 is home sick today. I have pulled out some craft stuff that I have been keeping for her for a rainy day... It has ended in tears as the cards ran out! Sometimes I wonder why I bother but I don't want her to miss out. I don't want to upset her either. Admittedly she has been sick but the outcome would have been the same! Hopefully she'll be more rational at 3 or am I kidding myself!

No need to reply, just a mini-vent! original.gif

I Hope it gets better at 3!!!!!!!

well I know you didn't want replies but I understand your vent completely!

i have the same problem with DS. He loves painting and all things craft but doing one activity is never enough. There's tears when we pack up the paint, there's tears when he realises we won't be painting again in 5 mins. For the next week all I get is begging and tantrums to 'do painting now please'.

I'd love to encourage the artistic streak but with a 9mth old as well I can't and most of the time just end up avoiding painting in the first place.

Thanks for the replies...

So, what do you do? Nothing at all or just live with the tantrums? sad.gif
