Hello there

well this little one is on its way and I am really stuck for a boys name.

For a girl, we like names like Ava, Lila, Ruby and Audrey.

Here is our boys list, please comment and please suggest anything that comes to mind that might be similar.

Thanks for your help

Hugo
Oliver
Oscar
Noah
Jonah
Thomas (or just Tom)

Thanks
Addison

Hi

We must have similar taste in names as I think all the names you have suggested are great. My two sons are Thomas and Oliver so I obviously love those names but there are also really, really common which can be a bit of a pain.

My favourites are:

Girl: Ava or Audrey
Boy: Hugo or Noah
tondall
i like your list...in this order...

Oliver wub.gif (love this, also on my list!)
Thomas (with nn Tom or Tommy-very cute & could be Tom or Thomas as an adult)
Oscar (very cute but would it grow or still sound a bit cute on an adult)
Noah (nice)
...then...
Jonah (im not so keen on)
Hugo (nms)

Girls names are lovely too! Goodluck
PinkPrincess
Well I love every name you listed! They're all such nice names. My top combos would be:

Ruby Ava and Audrey Lila

Oscar Charlie, Noah Thomas, Jonah Liam and Oliver Hugo

Well out of your list you have my mum's, dog's and son's names! I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

If popularity is an issue, then you might want to rule out Oliver, Noah and Thomas, but I still think they are great names.

I am 38 weeks and having my third so am watching your thread with interest. I have a Jonah and an Ava, Audrey or lucy is our pick if it is a girl but we are expecting a boy and no name as yet. Out of your list

Hugo yes
Oliver yes although becoming common
Oscar Yes
Noah Yes although becoming common
Jonah love it
Thomas (or just Tom) yes although VERY common, not that this is necessarily a bad thing

Ava, love it although there are now a few about
Lila, I prefer Lily, although it is nice
Ruby I like but very common
and Audrey. I like

Good luck with this original.gif

Hi Addison
I love your choice of names, especially the boys names, I found finding a boy name incredibly difficult.
I love Thomas ( my nephews name 13years old)
Ilove Liam ( my brother in laws name)
Ilove Noah ( my nephews name 10 years old)
Oscar is on our list, but as a second name perhaps.
Hugo is cool, I worked with a grouse guy called Hugo.
Jonah, I like, probably not in the same vain as the other names, but I do like it.
I added the ages to show that they may be 'popular' names but they stand the test of time....!
No question on your girls names, I only know one Ava, I think they are all names full of character. Lovely girl names.

Good luck with it all,
See you at home on the our norm tread.

I like all your girl's name, but I love Audrey.

I really like your list of boy's names too.

My Noah is 18 and as much as I love his name I would never use it now because it is so common. We did consider Jonah for DS#2, but felt it was too much when we already had a Noah.

I would pick Jonah, then Hugo.

Justin
Justus
Cohen
Jonas
Hugh

Oscar Charlie

Don't do this combination, it's straight out of the phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, delta...)

Thanks so much for your responses. I still feel undecided, might just have to take the list in and see what bub looks like?

The closer I get to my due date, the more I change my mind!

I will have a chat to DH and decide whether popularity is an issue for us, at first I wanted to avoid the top 10, not so sure now.

Thanks again
Addison

I also like Edward, Jerome, Sebastian, Angus, Rueben.

I prefer Jonah and Lila - although, TBH "Jonah" seems to be insanely popular ATM where we live.
