Hi original.giforiginal.giforiginal.gif

Dh and I have just found out that we are having a girl.
Dh is VERY fussy and so far doesn't like ANY of the names I have picked.
I have had one particular girls name in my head for 4 years, It was going to be my second daughters name but when she was born I changed sad.gif (Not even sure why)
This time around I want to use it, I love it.

It is . . .Courtney Jo

I'm not 100% sure on Jo yet but I think it has a nice ring to it.
I would love to know what the rest of you think, good or bad.
Please feel free, I don't mind original.gif

Thanks

Forgot to mention the reason for Jo, It's my mothers name!

Thanks
mummykins81
Courtney Jo is lovely. biggrin.gif
~FrenchFries~
That is lovely name.
mel*m
I like it! It has a nice ring to it.
Would u use Cj as a nn?

My DH wants our baby, if a boy to be a Cj.
Lotus
Along with all the Tiffanys and Crystals of the 80s, IMO "Courtney" sounds a little dated iykwim? blush.gif

The middle name "Jo" isn't my taste either, but I like the sentiment behind it.... it's just a shame it gives off such a country bumpkin "Bobby Jo, Betty Sue" feel to almost any name it's paired with. Sorry not keen on either names.
cryptic
I'm afraid I totally agree with Lotus.
=Araminta=
I agree, sounds a bit Clampett to me!
Possie
grin.gif I love it my name is Courtney Lee, but Jo does go well.

Was "Jo" your Mum's full name? Or was it "Joanne" or "Josephine"?

Prime Minister "Courtney Josephine..."
**Xena**
I like Courtney. Not the biggest fan of Jo but definitely appreciate the sentiment. Or baby will be Ashley Jan and I'm not a huge fan of Jan but I want to name the bub after DPs mum who passed away!

So yes, I say go for it original.gif
Mabear
I don't think Courtney will ever be an old name and Jo is lovely, to me it is a complete strong name, it goes very well together.
Country bumpkin? - only if you live in the US! it's usually bob isn't it, I call my husband bennybob when he's a little dim! laughing2.gif

i like middle names that mean something or are sentimental, like a nannas name or something like that. Even if it may sound a bit odd.
My daughters name is Taylah, her middle name is susan (sue) as that is my mums name. it may sound a bit strange - Taylah Susan, But i love it so much because theres a lot of meaning to it... we call her Taylah Sue...which sounds a bit 'country bumpkin' but oh well i still love it.

So i like Courtney Jo original.gif

I like the Courtney name i don't find it modern or 80's

Jo not the biggest fan but it flows well together
clumpy
Courtney is very 80s to me, too. Sorry.

Jo is a great nickname for Josephine, Joanna, Joelle etc, but it is not a stand alone name. And commbined with Courtney it does sound hickish, as Lotus said.

"Courtney is very 80s to me, too" grin.gif

Most of the "Courtneys" I know are my daughter's friends - that puts the name firmly in the 90s.

Well i am going to be totally biased but i thnk the name is great. I am a Jo-Anne (but only go by Jo) our baby girl due in July willbe either Ella Jo or Jasmine Jo so i think it is fine. We may add the Anne as it is my mum's middle name and DD#1 has DH's mum middle name so keeps it consistent I don't think it is outdated. jeepers, my daughters name is Grace, talk about outdated. It is good to keep a decent range of names out there otherwise we will all end up ith, Emily, Sophie, Sienna, Ella (!!) etc. Go Courtney Jo!
kacey5
I like it.
My Best friend is a JO & she is gorgeous. Jo is a pretty, fresh name & I like the meaning behind it.
My dh is Courtney & born in the 70's. He get compliments all the time. He is C.J. too. Or Ceej. wink.gif
saudade
I really like Courtney. ph34r.gif

I don't mind Courtney Jo at all. ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

Go Courtney Jo!

Ditto!
fifi-trixibelle
It sounds nice enough but I personally wouldn't choose it.

IMHO, a little dated and perhaps not as classy as other possible combinations. Would you do Josephine Courtney?
