Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a bumbo babysitter.
Alec hates the bouncer and loves to sit upright, so i am hoping that this product will work for him.
I had a look at K-mart (belconnen) and Toys R Us (belconnen) and they dont stock them.
So if anyone has seen them anywhere in Canberra, or know where I can get one second hand I would really appreciate it.
Also not sure if people are interested, I rainchecked on the of new quicksmart stroller at Target the other day for $79 and was happy with that price, but when I went into Toys R Us tonight, they have them on sale for $74.99 (Black only). I am hoping that this stroller will be handy for occasional use and at the price I got it for, I dont really care if it turns out to be useless, I tried it with DD (11kg) and it seemed fine for level surfaces.
Thanks

Rachel

Thats really weird because I was in Toys R Us about 4 months ago and they had a bumbo on the shelf!.
Did the person you ask look in the computer?..

Thats the only place I have seen them in Canberra, but you could also try David Jones too original.gif

Hope you find one original.gif

I was sure that I had seen them there as well. When I finally decided that I was going to bite the bullet and buy one (they are a bit $$)I said to Glenn, I know where I can get one, so we packed the kids into the car at 7pm and off to the mall we went. I did ask a girl that worked in that section (she looked about 16) and she just gave me the strangest look and said "nope we sell nothing like that and walked off". I might go back on Monday when there is more expereinced staff around and ask again.
Alec is driving me mad in that he loves being upright and the slight recline of the bouncer means he hates it. I just dont have the time to sit and hold him all day, wish I could
Thanks for the help original.gif

Rachel,

I went to ToysRUs yesterday for some christmas shopping and had a good look for the Bumbo whilst there, they seem to be either out of stock or not stocking it anymore..the last time I saw them they were in the potty isle. Maybe give them a ring and they can look it up on the computer, from memory they were around $79.

Hope you get one soon! original.gif

Hi Rachel,
Don't know if you found your bumbo or not( but if so others might be interested) I was in Toys R Us today and they had 7 on the shelf down near the nappies, in that area between the prams and the cot bedding. They had a bright green colour and an aqua colour. They must be new in cause I have never seen them there before.
Regards Laura
Edited to say they were $59.99

Thank you so much everyone, I havent found one yet, but I am off to Toys R Us in the morning.
Alec is driving me insane, will only stop crying when he is upright and I have tried everything (even went and got him a new bouncer, the fisher price one on sale for $45, and that worked for 2 minutes). The bumbo is my last chance, otherwise it looks like I will have to sit and hold him upright until he can do it himself.

Well I went and got a bumbo and Alec LOVES it. I have been putting him in it for 5-10 minutes at a time. I can actually go and do things without having to hold him all the time.
I have Alec's naming day tomorrow and I have been so busy all day and the bumbo has been a godsend.
I had my doubts about spending $60 on something that I would not use for long, but so far I am more than happy with it.
Thank you everyone for your help in tracking one down.

Hi Everyone,

If some of you are still looking for the Bumbo babysitter, I know you should be able to get one if you check out http://www.bumbo.com.au
They also have new colours, like a lilac one.

My son Julius is 5 months old and I just started feeding him with solids. It's so convenient to have him in the Bumbo Babysitter, he just loves it!
brazen
gee i wonder if that's advertising?

Just joined and trying to find my way on the forum.
As I know of this website just thought to inform everybody about it. I brought mine from Europe, a lilac one, which I had not seen before in Australia.

Cheers

Hi,

If anybody else is after a bumbo they had some for sale in Mums and Bubs in Fyshwick.
Berny
How much were they on sale for in Mums and Bubs? I haven't seen them in shops in Canberra before (then again I wasn't exactly looking for one either).
froonie
I bought one from Mums and Bubs on Friday for $79 (i
think...). They sold 4 in one day (they're obviously
popular!) and they only had blue or yellow.

Sal
We stock them at http://www.justforbubs.com.au and send Australia wide for those who can't find them locally.
