I have a new belly shot!
Freshly taken a few minutes ago, and it has since occurred to me that I should have taken my belly support belt off because that does squish me down a bit, but eh, too late!

There we go, 31 weeks and 4 days.

No where near the podium!
Carly - God I can't remember what you asked me, have to go back to the old thread...ah hah, first bub was 6lbs 5oz, induced at 37.5w.
Cal - Thanks for posting the table, my bubs matches sizing age and weight - approx 33 weeks. I reckon it will level off soon.
Melsb - Obs has been saying 7 - 7 1/2 pounds since about week 28 and is sticking to it. I'm happy with that
Great bumps girls, keep them coming. Mine is moving around at the moment - going to nigh, nighs!!

Hi All,
K - I really feel for you and hope things improve soon and you get the medical attention you need.
Briella - great suits! And congrates on 30 weeks - fingers crossed for the next milestone.
Well it's bloody hot in Melbourne tonight and my feet look like flippers they're so swollen. Back to A&E yesterday with DP who had another nasty headache attack. He had 2 IV drips and some new painkillers which did nothing. They now think it's tension headaches - sounds pretty lame considering the dreadful excruciating pain he's in, but apparently they can be that bad. So it's back to rest + panadol + nurofen and some other thing to help re-establish a good sleeping pattern. Hope this is it... it's leaving me feeling rather flat and unable to get motivated, which is tricky as I'm trying to get ready for finishing up at work in a few weeks and also get the house ready. Hmmm...
Loving the latest crop of bellies... will try and add mine soon.

How is everyone today?
CArly - sorry to hear that you will need to have your gall bladder removed. ouch. But yay to earlier induction hopefully
k- How are you going? I am not really sure what advice to offer but i just hope you know we are thinking of you.
Alicia - those suits are just gorgeous
melli - gorgeous bump there
All is well here besides siatica and major heartburn. I am feeling really huge and hoping the next 8 weeks just fly by. Very very over it!
I officially can't shave my own bikini area anymore so went and got it waxed yesterday

My sister does it so it wasn't as embarassing - i can barely get on and off the bed to have it done without moaning and groaning LOL.
I find my pain threshold is a lot less than usual- anyone else find this too?

Hey guys! Still here. Thanks for the good wishes and thoughts.
Well, not sure how I am feeling today. Kinda tired, upset, yet relieved all at the same time. Tired cause I'm just exhausted from all the drama going on, relieved cause Mik called yesterday afternoon and he has another interview here tomorrow morning so is coming home tonight (he was due home next week for me to go to NZ, but is coming home early for the interview and to also help me with the boys). And upset??? I don't even know where to start with this one...
OK, so Riordan has calmed back to his usual disruptive, but not in meltdown self as of yesterday morning. Had some drama getting him out of the house to go to school, but other than that, no problems. Liam (13yo) on the other hand? He has been getting more and more of a handful all week. He has been reasonably good since coming home after the holidays, a few angry moments, a couple of days off school, but generally OK. Until yesterday afternoon! Without going into the full details, he ended up in a rage, I had to restrain him, and in the process of doing so he hit me really hard in the stomach. This is my worst nightmare right now! He is not a small boy (he is 6ft2in and really strong) and it wasn't done with any restraint. I of course freaked, broke down in tears, didn't know what to do. Luckily it was at the top of the uterus (baby is head down as of last week) and so I didn't think there was any damage, but boy did it hurt! Anyhoo, I sat down for a while, baby seemed to want to get out of the position he was in, heaps of movement and squirming, but then settled nicely. No cramping, no blood, baby still moving fine today. So no trip to the hospital, which was my worst fear last night - how I was going to do it with 5 kids in tow!!!!
Anyway, today I am just drained. Looking forward to Mik coming home and helping to handle these children of mine. Once upon a time I would cope with this fine, but I think the pregnancy and the time this has been going on has just totally used up any energy I have to handle it. Need to call the psychologist today and let her know what happened. Whilst I feel like we are making progress with the psych, its so damn slow!!!! And doesn't help when we get into situations like yesterday.
Am also looking forward to my trip to NZ next week now! I wasn't, I really didn't feel like playing celebrity teacher for the weekend, but now I think a few days out will do me good!!!!
Carly - enjoy those cuddles! I wish I could hold a little baby right now! When this bubba is born he is all MINE!!!! No sharing.
Maddy - I can't believe they can't find a cause! There has to be SOMETHING! I hope your DH gets better soon.
Hokay - off to do some resting and tidying. With MIk coming home tonight, I spose I should at least make a small effort! Talk later girls.
K
PS - I hope I haven't freaked you out with the nasty details of my life! You have all been so understanding so far, and it does help to be able to process it all by typing it down. Thanks girls!

hello
well another cool day here today! so annoying going from 39 to 19 overnight!
Carly: hope the gallstones are gonna settle down and have fun seeing your friends bubby today
Maddy: yep tension headaches can be that bad unfortunately. i saw a myotherapist while pregnant for my bad headaches and that helped. also thought about chiro?
Never had a Brazilian wax or any wax in that area i just shave as I am impatient. I had to buy a beard shaver the other day to shave it

it worked well! i had to use the mirror though to see.
lauren: hope the sciatica settles down too!
melli: tiny belly there! must be the belly belt

Morning All,
Alicia - Awwww, I love the gift

Any chance the names you have chosen for the boys begin with S and B?
K - I am always thinking of you. I hope and pray that the medical attention you receive will help.
Carly - I must have missed a post about your gall bladder??? I hope it behaves till you have the op. Enjoy your day at you g/f's.
Melli - What a lovely belly shot. You're looking great.
Mad - I hear you on the hot night we had. I didn't sleep a wink, tossing and turning all night. Your poor DP, I can't imagine the pain he must be in. I hope it gets better for the both of you soon.
Lauren - Ah yes!! The sciatica

I am suffering with mine and I am not looking forward to the next 10 weeks. It's the worst at night and I often find myself in tears because I can't stand the pain.
Well, today the floorboards are going into the rooms. So once again, more cleaning and sorting for me to do. However, once it's all done it will look a million bucks.
I'm struggling with my feet atm. The soles of my feet(the area below my toes) are swollen and puffy, plus it hurts when I appy pressure to it. Do you think this coudl just be due to me being on my feet alot lately???? I find it so hard to walk at times and to stand for a length of time.
I have a birth refresher class to goto with DF on Thursday. I'm looking forward to it
So here's a belly pic I took this morning. Please excuse the dusty mirror, it's due to all the renovations we have been doing.

Enjoy your day girls

Well the only bonus of having such a bad cold and now being able to take antibiotics is that I'm now officially on Maternity Leave!
And since DH is home sick with me, I thought it was only fair that I dragged him into my nesting faze by making him help me fill the wonderful hutch he built for me:
The buffet & hutch that DH built for me!On a bad note, the lady at medicare yesterday told me she thought I was due any day now, rather than another 10 weeks! I was so upset
You be the judge with my last 2 photo's to compare:

melsb - your bump is georgous. No offense intended but its such a nice smallish size.
helimat - your husband must be very handy around the house. That buffet/hutch is fantastic. Very nice indeed. I don't know what the medicare lady is talking about you don't look ready to pop to me.
bumbum - good luck with the floor boards. We have bamboo on the floors in our house but its only a rental. I would love to get them myself when we finally buy a house. Also, love your belly pic too.
luckynumber7 - I really hope this is the last of it for you and things settle down again soon. Glad your DH will be home today to help out too.
maddy01 - Your poor DH and you for that matter. I really hope they can come up with something a little more permanent for his pain relief.

Helen, Wow your DH is amazing, that buffet is gorgeous.
K, Hold on in there, the break will do you good and at least now Mik is on his way, I hope he gets the job.

I feel so bad
DH cooked dinner tonight - the first time in forever because I usually ban him from the kitchen.
Because of this cold and my extremly weak gag reflex, I was eating dinner and then had to cough and ended up

all over my dinner plate and the table
Actually, now that I think about it, it's pretty funny
All DH could say was "if you didn't want me to cook, you could have just told me!" Luckily he's completely desensitised to my vomit thanks to m/s!

Yeah i can sympathize with those suffering with sciatica pain, mine got really bad about a week ago and by the end of the day i felt like i could barely walk. Luckily this week it has eased off a bit which os nice especially with DH away.

Hi everyone!
I wrote a post at work this afternoon and lost it when my machine crashed... aaagghhh!
What beautiful belly pics melsb, bumbum, melli, helimat et al

I keep thinking it's amazing the range of shapes and sizes given we are all within a fortnight of each other.
K - I hope things settle down for you on the home front. Have you thought about writing a book on how to deal with teenage boys! Actually if you are looking for a read on the subject have you seen this:
http://www.mup.unimelb.edu.au/catalogue/0-522-85476-1.html It got an excellent write up in The Age a week or so ago. Might offer a new approach?
Well I managed to go to work for a whole day today without having to rush back and look after DP. Fingers crossed the new painkiller/sleep regime will have a positive effect and he can go back to work soon.
On the subject of waxing - went for a brazilian about 2 weeks ago after leaving it almost 3 months.
Not a good idea to leave it that long. It is definitely more painful now I'm pregnant! My waxer commented (whilst inflicting a great deal of pain on my delicate parts

) that the hair was coming out more easily than usual, and decided from this that I am having a boy! Then she looked at my grossly swollen feet and said perhaps it's a girl. I think she is just having a punt either way...
helimat - can't believe you threw up on your plate! I hope that doesn't mean the end of being cooked for... all that and carpentry too! You are lucky!
Of to relax in front of the telly... have a great night ladies.
Love Mad xx

Oh Helen - you poor thing!!! That would have been totally embarrassing, yet funny all at the same time! And how amazing is your DP!!!! That is so cool that he has that skill. Very cool cabinet!
Thanks for that link Maddy, will take a look and see if I can get the book. I have a couple of books here that I am trying to wade through at the moment. I just get frustrated when they give a scenario, and you have tried exactly what they suggest, and then you have a question of 'now what??'. It doesn't work, so NOW what do I do??? I need the author there to ask questions!!!
Also, I think its good to be able to tell people what I'm having, it stops all the stupid predictions!!!
Sue - happy holidays!!!!
C - good luck with those floorboards! How exciting!!!! And your feet? Not sure. Is anything else swelling? Are your shoes getting too tight and you need to wear something looser? I know that I am now reduced to Crocs just because they are a bit swollen and so when I try to wear proper shoes they get too tight and the bottoms of my feet hurt.
Mel - is that like the smallest belly ever!?!?!? Man, that is a compact little bump you have there!
Carly - meant to ask yesterday, how are they going to control the gall bladder pain until the birth? Is it just diet, or do you have other things you need to do??
Lauren - hope the pain eases soon. We are getting there! Soon it will all be over!
Busy day of appointments again tomorrow! Hope to catch up tomorrow night.

Helen -

Classic. Pretty gross but classic.
Maddy (and the rest) I think you are all brave for going brazillian. I will continue to struggle along and tame the furry mammal using a razor and a mirror. I don't need to share your pain.
I know I am forgetting some stuff. Blame it on preggers brain.
Had an OB appt yesterday and near passed out when she was looking for the babies' heart rates with the doppler. I can't lay flat on my back for very long and she took forever (Blob has moved again and seems to be lying transverse across the top of my uterus). Anyway, they sent me for a CTG and another blood test. CTG was apparently they best they have seen for 30 week twins in a very long time (which is excellent) and they think that I am likely more anaemic which is why I have been feeling so 'blah' for the last couple of days.
I have been practicing a mantra, goes a little something like this:
"Not long to go. Not long to go."
Have a great day ladies!

hello everyone,
I won't do personals as just posting quickly from work...
I have had a bad night's sleep - up a couple of times with a stitch like pain in my left side, it hurt quite alot so I am now getting a bit worried that I have a low pain threshold. I am thinking the pains and sleep deprivation will just get worse from here on in...
The tiredness has been making me grumpy too, I just can't be bothered talking to people sometimes. I am so over work too!
anyway, thanks for letting me whinge. the third trimester is not fun, tiredness, constipation, stretching pains...yuk.
off to get some chocolate for my pity party
Addison
p.s yes, I know I haven't got it too bad, no other kids to worry about, no gall stones or health probs and no twins (I can only imagine how that must feel Alicia!) but just needed to vent a bit...feeling bit better now
Busy working mum

Morning Ladies.
Just got back from my 30week appointment with the midwife.
Got back my GTT results which were 6.3! And I was starting to worry because at the time I was really thirsty all the time and loving my fruit juice!
So for 30+3 weeks, my fundal height is 31 and blood pressure is perfect again at 110/75.
Have been having great sleep because DH & I are so sick! We're actually sleeping in different rooms and it's fantastic! Our snoring (only when sick!) is so bad! But what makes it better is that DH is going away with my dad tomorrow for a male bonding weekend! More space in bed for me!
I think my antibiotics are slowly starting to work - I'm feeling a bit more "dried up", though my throat is killing me and my chest is heavy. Midwife suggested I go to the health food shop to get something to boost my immune system...
Hope you're all well...
Will be lurking for most of the day!

Addison - your post made me giggle (no offence).
Even though I have been through it twice before without drugs (and Ashley's birth was BAD), I STILL get terrified that I won't be able to handle the pain this time around.
I just keep telling myself, "it's a different sort of pain"
It really is and nobody can describe it, but once you are there, you will both hate it and love it at the same time. Your body will be doing something it is meant to be doing - low pain threshold or not.

I am sure you will be fine. (and feel free to vent away!)
AuntyK

Morning!
Addison - vent away darl! All this lack of sleep, pains etc is just getting you ready for the fact that a baby is about to turn your life upside down! Helps with the coping afterwards in my opinion!!! Enjoy that chocolate!
Carly - I hope they work out something decent for you, and work on that induction. What a year you've been having!!!
Alicia - that is such good news! Fantastic!!
OK - so this morning I was half way to my first appointment (an all day workshop) when I thought I would just call to let them know I was running a little late. Just as well I did! They cancelled and didn't let me know!!! Argh! Luckily I was only part way there, so jumped off the bus and got one home again. So now I have the day to myself. Can't decide whether to do all this housework that is piling up here, or just sew. I know what I WANT to do... Actually, its Mik's birthday today, so might wait for him to finish his interview, give him the good news that I am home, and see if we can go out for lunch. Goodness, how decadent is that!?!?! Lunch, out, with no kids! Heaven!!!
Hope you have a great day all!

Another one here who had a cry last night too girls. This sciatica is just killing me. By yesterday afternoon I just couldn't walk. And i couldn't sleep last night with it either. I don't think DH understands just how bad it is..it's like he thinks I'm putting it on or something. I had it with DD but nowhere near this bad

My thoughts go out to those of you are experiencing sciatica pain and/or sleepless nights. Luckily for me its just not being able to get comfortable and the tossing and turning.
Thought I would share my funny DH moment with you all. We had our 2nd antenatal class last night. It was about pain refief and c-sections. The midwife said she is going to bring the gas in the last class so everyone can have a try - DH was very excited about this and it held his attention for about 20 mins. Then she started talking about epidurals, tearing and stitches. Long forgotten was the gas and this now became DH's focus. He whispered to me that the thought of all the stitches and tearing made his bits tingle.

Anyway, the upshot of all this is he's decided 'we' should now have an elective c-section. WTF!

App went well yesterday with my midwife, blood pressure perfect and fundal height meassuring at 29cm she said thats fine and its 2 mor cms then at my 28 week app so she is growing fine. All my bloods came back fine there repeating them again in 2 weeks.

I'm back, should really be doing some work but needed a break, finding work a bit exhausting so hiding out in my office...hopefully I can post before anyone knocks on the door or rings me.

last night. welcome to my pity party, we can all

together!...
helimat: I hope you get better, I think pregnancy really runs down your immune system, good idea to get something to give you a boost. Enjoy your sleep! sounds lovely
Alicia: totally no offence taken

I even re-read my post and had a giggle myself...ahh, the things we work ourselves up about

I actually have been thinking about the pain issue since I had my blood test for the 28 wk GTT, it really hurt and I started to think maybe I am a wuss...(no way am I heading in for a brazilian

)seriously, I think I will try and get The Pink Kit, someone here (Lauren?) mentioned it and it sounds great.
K: ohh, enjoy your lunch, and Mik is lovely for getting you gerberas, hope you have a great (kid-free) lunch
add1more:
thanks for the laugh, especially the part about his bits "tingling" certainly cheered me up, I can imagine my DH being like that. Cool that you get to try the gas! I have never had it before, apparently it can make some women nauseous so it would be good getting a trial run. They passed around the epidural needles at my class and we all squirmed in our seats!
melsb: I have been reading upon fundal height as I was measuring nearly 2 wks behind after being spot on, apparently it is not a worry, as your midwife said, as long as their is progress, and not too big a discrepency either way. glad your little girl is well
Be back on later when I get home

Hi All,
Just heard an interesting fact about epidurals that I had to share with you... this came from our GP when we told him that the emergency doctor took 7 attempts at DP's lumbar puncture. He said apparently it's much easier to insert the epidural (or lumbar p) needle into your spine if you are sitting up and bent forward. The doctor or anethetist will ask you to lie down but it's for the comfort of the patient only. So if you are lying down and they can't get it in first time, and you think you can manage to sit up , then offer to do this and you may save yourself some pain and frustration.
Sorry to all those who are squeemish about epidurals if this is TMI!

Epidurals .......well after reading your post I was watching a show on pay TV "Birth Day". The lady was having an epidural, however she had spinal issues and it took three very long goes. I felt so sick watching it, ewwwwww.
With my epidural for DD, I had to sit up and bend forward, every time I did (inbetween contractions) DD's heartbeat would drop off - the umbilical cord was around her neck

. I think

in our antenatal class they had us practising the chin against our chest and bending forward, that is about 2 years ago so my memory is shot. So I'm thinking it the standard procedure at our hospital. Would be interesting to hear from others with their epidural experiences. What I will say is compared to labour the needle into your spine is a WALK IN THE PARK. And I am petrified of needles, sorry if I just scared anyone. Epidurals are so worth it - IMO

it sounds awful.
Moopey: oh, I wish I had pay TV, would love to watch "Birth Day" all the videos in our ante natal class were made in the 80s...the women had scrunchies in their hair and the men had mullet hair cuts

it did give us something to laugh at though
well, 3 posts in this thread today is enough for me! time for bed now

Evening all,
I missed out on a few days, and there seems like thier has been alot going on.

I have been a bit occupied helping a gf, her partners mum has been moved to palitive care, she seems to be going down hill, long story short, my gf is getting married on Sat, it will be a small affair in the garden of the hospital.
I have a quick present question, my gf has been with her dh for years, they have x2 ds. She has asked for nil presents, she is my closest friend I would like to get them something. I am just so perplexed right now. What do you think?
Now that I have forgotten the personals, I will have a go anyway, bear with me...
Addison: I am trying not to think to much about the birth, I know it is coming, but I have anxious tendancies, so for now, I am not thinking about it. Does that make sense??
Epidural discussion: I am a little scared of pain, and the thought of having a needle in my spine really makes me shat myself.
Luckynumber7: Did you make it to lunch? How was the birthday boys day? I hope you have an uneventful quiet day...You deserve the peace.
My eyes are starting to get alittle heavy, so I should get off the comp and go to bed, the thing is I know that once I lie down, I probably wont get to sleep in a hurry. I guess a full night sleep is just a fantasy for a while yet.
I will give it a go, speak to you all tomorrow on a more intellegent level ( or is that another fantasy, nothing I say at the moment is intellegent

)
Hope you all have a nice sleep

Hey all!
So, lovely day. Had a beautiful lunch (pan fried calamari with white chocolate pannacotta for dessert!!). Have been sewing all night (going crosseyed now though, its been so long!). Mik had a great day it seems, he is now asleep on the couch! Ahhh, life is normal again for a few days!
Epidurals - urgh, I have to say, for all of the ones I have had, they still make me cringe. I think mostly because I know what is going on back there! Yes, normally they do make you sit up, but sometimes they make you lie down and curl up as much as you can to separate the vertebrae. I guess it depends on the anesthetist. One thing I will warn is that the later in the labour you have it, the less likely they can get that needle in between contractions! My first epi was when I was 10cm and pushing. My back seized up and I couldn't push anymore. So they decided to get one in, rather than going for a c-section. The contractions were on top of each other, and I had to keep as still as possible whilst in severe pain, not to mention my back pain added to that!!! Not the best circumstances to have one put in let me tell you! But it was SOOOOO lovely once it was in and took affect. He must have put SOOO much in though, cause it was in the morning that it went in, was topped up around 1ish/2ish from memory, and I was first able to get up at midnight!!!!
Anyway, the moral is to make sure you have it around 6cm or before otherwise they might not give you one, or it might be too hard to get in there between contractions. And believe me, the most painful part of having it done is when they put in the local. Just like when you have a local to have dental work done. That bit hurts, the rest you have no idea its happening!
Rach - I would get something that was really personal, not housey. Something that is just for them, that only you would give them, if you know what I mean?? Like for some friends of ours, we knew that everyone would get them the whole toaster/platter thing. We got them a beautiful handmade kaleidescope. Might seem a little weird, but it was something special for them. Anyway, that would be my suggestion.
Jo - that's funny! I read your post out to Mik and he was shaking his head! I guess he had the benefit of me already having had two kids by the time he was involved, so he just had to go along with the flow of it all. Mind you, I still remember the horror on his face when I was having Aoiffe. Mind you, that was the WORST of all of my births! I told him that this time I am going to stand again and he was going to have to catch - he didn't like that idea one bit!!!
Mel - good to hear your appoint. was good. I had one this arvo as well, and all was well here too! I finally asked what my GTT result was - 4.5!!! For someone who is so darn overweight, my sugar and cholesterol levels are always low! Weird.
Lauren - you poor thing!!! How was your appointment???
So, that's it for me! Gotta make sure we have uniforms (making sure all five are ready each night is starting to crap me! I wish we could afford 5 each!!!). Then I might just finish up with some more sewing. Ooops... me bad. Another late night...
Talk soon!

I must say that the thought of having a needle in my spine, it gives me the heebie jeebies!
I didn't even have time for an epidural with my first two girls, but given the opportunity I still don't
think I would have one.
Also I'd like to join the pity party if I may. My hips/front of my pelvis are absolutely killing me tonight, and my tailbone is really hurting as well, I assume that is related to my SPD as well.
Oh and you should see the size of my feet! I normally have very long slender feet and really skinny/boney ankles but the last few days they have been swelling up so freakin uncomfortably huge. Actually I uploaded a photo to show my SiL, I will show you guys too! You can see it
here.
My lovely loose comfy sandals are now so tight that they cut in and rub! (scuse the horrible chipped nail polish, I haven't been able to reach my feet properly for a while

)
Sitting with my feet in a bucket doesn't seem to help, sitting with my feet up while I watch telli doesn't seem to help either. They do seem to deflate a fair bit overnight while I am sleeping, but by midday they are huge again.
They never swelled up like this when I was pregnant with my other two. Does anyone have any feet deflation remedies to share?

Good morning ladies

Just a quick one here before I run the kids to school. Here is the latest photo; 30 weeks + 2.

I didn't realise how much my belly had dropped until I compared to the 27 weeks photo

No wonder my hips, lower back and pubic bone are killing me
Must run

Wow Alicia - you sure you want to go to 38 weeks!!!! The growth since your last pic is huge! Yes, I know you know and are looking at it all day every day! I want to say 'you poor thing' but at the same time its pretty cool knowing there are TWO little people in there!!!
Melli - the only things I know of are plenty of water with lemon or lime juice (maybe try real lime juice cordial? you can get it at the supermarket and it has a really old style label). and then keeping your feet up. Oh, and a pair of Crocs. I was a croc hater until my feet swelled up when we went to France, and now I live in them cause I can't fit anything else on my feet (happens every pregnancy). The only things that give support AND fit right now!
So, am sitting here still in PJs, started off the morning with the lovely sounds of vomit on our carpet! Poor Gael has picked up something and has been sick all morning. Is asleep now, the poor tacker. Funny thing is last night when he came home from Kindy I gave him a hug and said to Mik that he was on the verge of a temp, cause I could *just* feel it around the creases of his neck, underarms etc. But he ate, seemed fine, didn't give it another thought (and even if I had taken his temp I don't think it would have shown). Sure enough, he is sick this morning. Shows you gotta trust your instincts!!!
So my plans of going shopping, maybe dragging Mik to the gallery, are all down the toilet. Looks like another day stuck at home... oh well. Will make the most of it and keep sewing!
Hope you all have a great day girls!

K: glad you had a great day yesterday...yum calamari! I hope Gael is better soon! You should sew more school uniforms!
Alicia: omg it's getting bigger and yes it has dropped heaps!
Carly: nah nothing i can think of that i had last time, i had a granny nighty i wore that i jsut chucked away after for obvious reasons. Oh i know, I'll be taking DARREN

I could wear a VB shirt to make you feel better
Melli: i'd be mentioning it at your next appointment esp if they have just started getting like that. mine go like that quite often and my ankles get all lumpy but yeah alot of the time doesn't go down at all overnight. My hands are swollen this time too since 16 weeks so no rings for me! Considering I had my engagement ring remodelled at 7 months preg with Amelia and I can't even get it past my knuckle now! I never had any swelling with Amelia, but after she was born my feet went about twice as fat as yours are now and boy was that painful! I bought some masseur sandles just the cork ones cos you can adjust the strap on the front.
Hello to everyone else...DD is being a monkey so i best be off before something gets destroyed!

Carly - my 'thing' is my pillow. I have to take my own feather pillow with me. I can't stand being there without it, and someone ALWAYS makes comment about me having my own pillow with me, but I don't care!!!!
Other than that? Nope. Nothing. More stuff that I have learned that I will need - like Strepsils cause I am rather 'vocal' in labour! And warm socks that aren't too tight, cause I get really cold feet, but I hate my usual socks cause they are always too tight.
Cally - sew uniforms? Are you KIDDING me!!!!!! I don't *do* that kind of sewing. Its all textile art with felt and sequins. I have no idea where my sewing machine even is!!!! Although, I wonder what the kids would say if I sewed sequins to their uniforms??? I am sure the High School would give the boys a detention!!! They get one for having the wrong coloured shoe laces after all !
Gael still womiting. Poor little tacker. He was so brave, drank down all the panadol even though he didn't want to, and still chucked it back up again. Looking like a very long day of movies!!!

I am so sorry to hear how many of you have sore pelvic bones. Mine started about 4 days ago I am in absolute agony. I tried to get a locum dr out to give me some pain relief but he wouldnt believe i wasnt in labour and wanted me to go to emerg....grrrr

. luckily the next day my GP spoke to L & D midwifes and they advised Panadine forte. It doesnt really get rid of the pain so i am only taking it at night. I have a physio appt in an hour so im hoping they can help me get some relief another way. Do any of you have any ideas on what i could do? Sorry for the rant i am just so over today
SasoraK : i am taking with me my body pillow so if i want to lay down i will feel comfortable, I hate hospital pillows. apart from that i always have jelly babies with me because it has aways helped to have something light to suck on whilst in labour.Oh yes and a long nighty so that if i want to walk around in the early stages i can without flashing anyone

K: i hope every one starts feeling better at your house. A movie day doent sound too bad to me
I am taking

luckynumber7/Melli - Do you mean Old Bickford's Lime Cordial??
AuntyK
22/02/2008, 11:08 AM
That could be the stuff Alicia! I love the stuff, but don't have any here to check right now. It comes in a glass bottle.
Kiaralee - ah yes, well it seems we are BOTH getting bored! Typical, the day when you HAVE to sit and watch movies, is the day that it bores you to tears! He is lying there making bored noises, but too sick to even play his nintendo (which is REALLY saying something, he clutches that thing in his sleep!).
Yay for a laptop I say...
