Hi ladies,
As the title says, I had twins via C/S in Oct 06. I am considered a VBAC for my current pregnancy, due 9 March 08. My Ob seems keen for another c/s due to risk of UR. I'm interested to know what opinions there are on increased risk of UR, given the short time frame between pregnancies, and also the fact that the last pregnancy was twins.
Thank you!

I'm not sure of any current research re. twins and VBAC but I'm having a VBAC at home 18months after my twins were born. My midwife is perfectly happy with how things are progressing and the general thought is that the scar is pretty much healed after 12 months.
It does depend a lot on your OB and how much you are willing to push to get your VBAC though, I get a distinct impression that there are very few really pro VBAC OB's out there. Might take some hunting and research on your part.
Good luck,

I agree with the PP i searched VBAC options and studies when i was Preg with #3 after 2 cs's and found nowhere that there was a increased risk of uterine rupture after twins.
If a Vbac is what you want then you may need to reseach it and take what you want to the OB and see what he/she says. If it's not what you want then i would look around for a different Ob one who is supportive of your wants.
Ultimately if your ob doesnt support your decision for a VBAC then the chances of having a sucessful Vbac is low. def look around for a OB who is supportive, i think if you asked here the girls might be able to point you in the right direction of a PRO Vbac OB

My cousin had a great VBAC after c-section with twins only 18 month age gap. Good luck on your journey

I DID a VBAC after twins. My twins were 3 though, but I wouldn't think it would make too much difference. I had to really push to have a "trial of scar" but I had NO problems. I had an 8lb baby & he was posteria too

Goodluck

I am going to have a VBAC (if this baby turns). My scar will only be 13 months old. My Ob is very conservative and said my scar is 100% healed.
I hope you get your VBAC.
