So, after 4 years my DDs have finally had the swab done for their zygosity test as part of a study they are involved in. My question to you is WDYT the results will be - ID or frat?

Not a great photo, but it's the only one with their faces together (and looking at the camera at the same time LOL).
Rebothy
Fraternal, I think. Ooh this excites me! WHen will you find out?
gumby
I vote ID!
phezzit
Oh how exciting smile1.gif Can't wait to find out. I think that your beautiful girls look id to me.

Jo

My vote is for ID! How exciting! How long do you (we!!) have to wait?
Butterscotch
They certainly look very very similar in the photo. Presumably their hair's the same ie. same colour and texture, and one's not for example curly whilst the other's straight? (hard to tell from the photo as they have wet hair).
jaydee
Definitely ID original.gif

Jo
~Bec~
I think ID too.
Ailime
Hi Nicolie

I guess they are ID...

I can't tell much the difference between your girls.
In the first glance, the girl on our left seems to have 'longer' face and more distance between the eyebrows and the eyes. However, I think it's only the angle of the photo.

My boys are said to be fraternal (yet to be confirmed) and they have pretty distinctive difference like one's eyes is rounder than the twin's, one's face is rounder than the twin's.

When are you going to get the result?
Marnie
Hi Niolie

We play this game in our house too original.gif In a strange way it will be weird once the zygosity results come back (we were told about 12 weeks - is that what you thought?)

Anyhow - my vote for your two gorgeous girls is ID

Don't forget to let us know!

Marnie

ID's can look different and fraternal can look very similar (apparently Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are fraternal but I can't tell them apart laugh.gif )

I went to school with ID twins who looked different - it was easy to tell them apart. One was smaller and finer than the other and had a slightly tip tilted nose. They were definitely ID though as they had blood transfer issues from having the one placenta (they explained it to me once, I wasn't really listening blush.gif )

Anyway, so considering this is just a guess, I'll say fraternal simply because most people are saying ID Tounge1.gif wink.gif original.gif
~Levity~
Definitely identical! biggrin.gif
KateTwinMum
Hi Nicolie,

I vote ID too!

Ours are ID - we finally gave in and did the test too. We find it funny as we think that they look so different, you forget that people can't tell them apart!

As I have told you before, and like you need reminding - your girls are so gorgeous!! smile1.gif

Cheers
*CalamityJane*
LOL this is fun! I truly have no idea myself - my opinion changes frequently. (They do have the same hair BTW)

Not sure when we get the results back. Because it's part of a study, they send the swabs in batches so it could be months.

Donna, you can barge in any time you like. You are an honorary member of the MoM (Mums of Multiples) Club anyway!
~Catherine~
Gonna say Identical as well.
kazzil
Another vote for ID here. They're georgous girls!
Butterscotch
Somehow I missed your sig when I posted before so I can see now that their hair is the same! I'm leaning towards ID as well....
blush
I vote ID also. Whats your feeling?
mumto3princesses
I say ID as well.
Que Sera Sera
I always thought they were ID blush.gif One has a different smile than the other (sorry I'm not sure who is who!!) but apart from that they do look like two peas from the same pod (as opposed to what my DH says about ours - different pod, same fertiliser ohmy.gif )
dna13
I vote for ID too. I can't wait to hear the results.
BusyB
I vote ID biggrin.gif

I've always thought your gorgeous girls were ID. Can't wait to hear your results!
lilymurray
LOL maybe you should set up a poll.

I think ID.

Two of my year 11/12 friends were ID twins, however they didn't really look the same at all once I got to know them(didn't even sound the same on the phone) They were the same height, same shape, same weight, but their faces were different, though alot of people always got & still do confuse them.

Sorry for the ramble, but I've always just assumed your girls were ID given that if my friends didn't look alike & they were ID, I just assumed your girls must be.
*CalamityJane*
LOL DG, I'm not sure they will EVER be allowed out!

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. At least I know I can do something right laughing2.gif.

It's funny, I don't think they look anything alike but hardly anyone can tell them apart. Their gym teacher has only just worked it out after seeing them every week for 2 years!

OMG Donna, I just noticed your sig - congratulations wub.gif
~muddleheaded-wombat~
Sorry to barge in.. Mum of twins times 2 here..

But I say that the gorgeous girls are ID....

I have two sets of fraternal twins and they are way so so different...

What gorgeous sigs I have seen here in this thread!!

You all make beautiful babies.
Laney
I hope its ok to BARGE in even when you only ph34r.gif here.. blush.gif

Nicolie

I just want say your gorgeous girls are just that GORGEOUS and so have to be ID.

I often peak in on the twin threads as I still feel like a twin mummy, even though our girls are in our hearts and not our arms.

I also especially love to see how your girls are growing and developing as we expected our daughters would/should have been born around September/October of 2003, and our first born twin was named Paige wub.gif

You truly are so blessed, i'm sure you cherish every minute of your girls and being a mum of 'ID' twins...

hugs
*CalamityJane*
Oh Laney, please don't ever think that you don't belong in here sad.gif .
ChampersGal
I vote ID. biggrin.gif

Anyone want to put a last guess in??

I got a letter today stating that the results are in and could I confirm that I still want them (apparently a lot of people change their minds). I've sent that off today so I hope to have the results in my hot little hands next week original.gif.
~Fuzjuz~
I'll guess ID. original.gif Good luck.
butterfliesgirls
I'll have a shot too - I'm going with i.d. How exciting!! biggrin.gif
nakigirl
I was just wondering about this today - spooky!! I said ID at the beginning - I still think ID. Exciting now!! wink.gif

tle
I'll go with ID.
waitingmum
I think Fraternal, I can see a couple of differences (eg nose) but it could be just the camera angle.
Alina0210
I would say ID too..
mummabear
I need more photos before I make a decision LOL.

(plus they are gorgeous... wub.gif )
mumofterrortwins
I haven't read the update yet, only looked at page 1 and the pic and I'm hoping they are ID, that would have been my guess anyway. original.gif original.gif Off to look at the update now.

ETA -The results aren't in yet???

OT - My girls are ID ( yeah had the test) yet to me they can look totally different, check out the sig below.
jill72
Definitely ID vote from me! biggrin.gif When will you know?
sesameellis
Since I am expecting a boy and a girl, I will always know that mine are fraternal. grin.gif

I think your beautiful girls are identical. Can't wait to see the results.
5kids4me
They just have to be ID. I have met them IRL quite a few times and always have to remember which was who by what she was wearing wacko.gif
