Has anyone tried or packed these for after labour?
A very good friend of mine has insisted I take some along as apparently they take the acid out of your urine. After the lovely sting last time, I definately will be grabbing some blush.gif

Just a handy tip that might be helpful...

A midwife gave me some after I had my first baby. And with ALOT of tearing and episiotomy it was bliss! Definatley recommend it.

I took some but didnt use them. I had an episiotomy and it didnt sting to wee at all.
The midwife actually recommended not to use them as the acid in the urine can help in the healing process.
Mine are still sitting in the bathroom cupboard. Will take them along this time just in case.

They gave it to me at the hospital and I have some more at home from the midwives... I only have a superficial graze/small tare on the vaginal wall (it's not always perineum) and the Uracol has been wonderful in the healing process... especially since my stitch came undone.

They are GREAT! I have never seen the tablets I always use the sachets and mix it into a glass of water. Doesn't have a bad taste either. I will be taking some with me next time im in hospital!

I took the sachets and recommend them highly! With DS2 I drank it straight after birth (must have been while b/feeding??) before I had my shower - worked a treat! My OB with DS1 had recommended them to me due to me complaining about stinging wee straight after DS1 hehe.
