Just curious coz I've just come into this thread and have seen it a couple of times and am wondering what it is????

DS is 3 months old and feeds at 6pm, 2am, and then 6am over night and I'm wondering if I can give him a quick top up around 10pm when DH and I go to bed to see if he'll skip the 2am feed and go through to 6am.

See I'm going back to work in 3 months time and need to get some sleep LOL

TIA

Hi

This is exactly what a dreamfeed is. It's also known as a roll-over feed. Basically you feed baby whilst they are still asleep (dreaming) just before you go to bed in the hope that they will last that little bit longer.

If you do decide to try it you might find you will have to wake your little man up a little bit in the beginning before he gets the hang of it. It also might take a few nights (or weeks even) before you will see a difference. Just be wary though that it might not even make a difference. Didn't with my DD so I didn't bother with it.
