Hi

I am really new to IVF so apologies in advance...

I started sniffing Synarel today, having been taking the BCP for about 2 weeks. I'm looking at my paperwork, and it seems to suggest that I start injecting Gonal-f today too. Is that right? I thought sniffing happens for a few days and then I have a blood test to make sure everything's going OK. My clinic is now closed. Help please!

Thanks.

If you're on a long down-reg protocol, then you would usually be sniffing right up until AF arrives then you go in for a blood test to confirm that all your hormones are at baseline. However, with some other protocols, you would pretty much start the Gonal-f on CD2 of your cycle.

You are best to ring your clinic. They must have an emergency number that you can call. Good luck!
