Sorry, I had to keep editing my last post. Can't spell today. Haha!

Thanks Sine. Those were taken at Main Beach on the Goldy. We were really lucky with the weather, thank goodness. It was the best day. Andy (DH) is truly my best friend (best mates since we were 12 years old- LOL! I know) and I cannot wait to see and hold our baby. He is such an amazing person. Awww! Hehe!

Enough smoochy-woochy stuff, back to work sad.gif

But before I go, something adorable for you all original.gif

Morning ladies

Interestingly, I manage to get on here more when I'm working!

Just a quick one to say it looks like the heat has made its way here too (Blue Mountains) and I'm not looking forward to it!

And Helena, the news of heatwaves in the Riverland strikes fear into me too. I hate the heat!! And we will be there from 16 Dec - 4 Jan. Fortunately my parents have great air-conditioning and they live just near the lake in Barmera, so we'll alternate between cool zones. We have to spend 3 days in Mildura too, but we are staying at the Golf Club and both our rooms there have aircon.

I can see already that staying cool will again be my summer priority, just as it was with my pregnancy with Edie (I had the same due date!).

Have a lovely day girls.

hi everyone,
Went and seen Bridget Jones last night. Better than what i was expecting since it got heaps of bad reviews.
Movement-having the same troubles. Baby moves like crazy, DH puts his hand there, movement stops.
Everytime I move alittle in the wrong direction or sneeze or cough or anything i get a pain like i just pulled every muscle in my belly.

2nd time mums- A lot of people keep telling me that with the 2nd, after birth pains are really bad. With DS every time i breastfed i got really bad stomach cramps and everyone is saying that it gets unbearable with your 2nd. Is that true?

Names- We have decided on Casey Jane for a girl and are still undecided on a boy. I like Cohen, Deken or Callum but DH doesn't. He likes Damon but I don't. What do you guys think? It's middle name will be David and our last name is three syllables and starts with A.

Yours Truly,

Hayley,

Yes the afterpains for me were excruiating especially with Will, something I am not look foward too AT ALL! I was in tears and I have to say because it lasted a few weeks it was worse than my labor I ended up having to take panadeine as panadol just did not help... However I may have been unlucky I dont mean to frighten you sad.gif

Argh, the afterpains are my biggest fear sad.gif I had about 6 weeks of painful cramps after I had Georgia and I am so not looking forward to having them again, but WORSE! blush.gif

Just popped in to say that Tounge1.gif Georgia is in a taking-nappy-off-and-running-around-naked mood, so I have to go and keep an eye on her! I'll be back original.gif

Morning beautiful ladies,

Mish congrats on your scan and your news! Another boy for the list! Catching up to the girls! My placenta is low-lying too, looks like there are a couple of us with this so fingers crossed that they move outta the way!

Jen, your wedding pics are beautiful too! I will have to post the link to mine. We got married in Italy, last year and our album is still over there with the in-laws. Weighs 15kg so dont know when we will be getting it back over here, I'm too afraid to send it by post as it might get lost or damaged. Who knows, maybe if MIL/FIL come and visit in April they can bring it.

Yesterday bubs was REALLY quiet all day long, I was actually quite worried, I think Karens sad news has scared me.

Finally in bed, after DH had a little conversation, sing and tummy rub, he started moving around a little bit but then these strange movements started. I know that babies can have the hiccups in there but is this too early? I dont know if they were the hiccups for sure but they were constant little twitches about 10-15 seconds after each other and it went on for about 20mins. Normally when bubs moves it's never for this long! It was so cute, I just stayed awake giggling to it, was such a cute little feeling, my whole tummy would move!!!!!

I am so happy to be having this little one - it's so wonderful to be at this stage where we can finally really enjoy all of this!

Harko original.gif After pains Well i never had them with my first and was mild with the second and found that the panadole was all I needed to settle it. I feel that we should not think about these thing at all.... make your birth plan and then maybe once every couple of weeks review it so you can keep it up to date with how you would like it to proceed...not that this might happen as they never go exactly to plan......and then just forget about the whole labour, birth thing and just visulise holding that baby in your arms original.gif and the end result as we can cause our selves undue stress worrying about the "what ifs.

Not the genda you wanted? Well with my last we wanted a girl and got a boy, so we used visulisation to help us bond befor he was born and imagined in our heads his hands and feet moving and his progress and also alot of boy shopping for all the cute baby boy stuff helped aswell and when he arrived it was a very emotional time i was absoloutly besotted with him, he is my reason for living, ( not to mention the reason for aging....lol) We named him as soon as we found out what he was and he hardly ever moved so i new he was gona be a laid back we chappy and this helped as you can get a sense of there personality befor they are born and you will bond with them and be happy at the end.

A shock after the birth With my first i was sooooo exhausted after a 53 hour labour that i was upset to see him, it is not like on T.V. when they hand you a baby and you think it great, i was tired and my baby had a swollen head was puple and screamed and screamed and screamed ....I was freaken out... but by the next day he was perfect looking ... I was only 19 when I had him and was not informed about anything at all so found it all very traumatic. (also had a mean nurse) BUT.... I am glad to see all the info in books and on this site and just every where so my advice for the first time Mum's is read and learn all you can as i found my second baby just like on telly where it was awesome, because i had armed myself with as much nowledge as possible.

O.K. Sorry about all that just some things that were on my mind that i thought id share I had my last bub at Gold Coast Hospital and they were really great they have a good reputaion.

Well DH was sick on Tuesday and DS was chucking yesterday and i am living on the loo today...sorry TMI so i am feeling a bit rundown and think i will be here reading alot today.

Oh Catling Glad to here your having movement now. original.gif original.gif original.gif

Anyway take care girls

Hello,

Jen- Great pictures, loved your hair.

Kris- I definitely felt movement with DS a lot sooner than No 2, from about 13 weeks with DS. This time nothing constant till 18 weeks. I think this is due to; me being a lot bigger around the tummy (more insulation), the baby being a lovely gentile girl (I can only wish) and the fact she’s measuring a week and a half smaller then dates. Also my friend who is also due in April has felt no 2 later and less often than No1. So I think that everyone is different, no one rule can be applied to every baby’s movement schedule and if in doubt get a scan.

Luckystar- DS had the hiccups around 20 weeks and then every day at least 3 times till he was born. It’s great exercise for the lungs and diaphragm.

Chrissie- We holidayed in Barmera years ago and loved it.

I love the heat! Hope your right about the heat wave in the Riverland Helena. That would be great for business. I’m getting a real buzz out of selling these air-conditioners. We only need 2 customers a week to justify me being here 5 days, which means I get heaps of EB time, if DS’s being good.

Helena- I met another Helena yesterday, she’s also from the Riverland. Now I know 2 other than me.

Me- Not much movement today- too many kicks from DS. This baby's going to come out hating her brother if keeps going like this. However, our dog was always jumping on my bump last year and DS just loves the dog. His first 2 syllable word was Archer (dogs name).

HI Everyone....

After Birth Pains.. hmm what are they? i didn't get any type of cramping or anything after having ash is this normal? I just bleed for a VERY long time.. well it seemed like a long time to me...

Lena/Movements.. yeah i have my scan on monday week i heard the heartbeat on monday so i know its there but i just thought if the midwife said i should be feeling it then i should be feeling it iykwim... with ash i didn't feel movement till 21 weeks i told her this and she said yeah thats normal for a first but not a second.. ash was small born and im assuming this one is small too so that could account for some of it.. plus i am also bigger around the stomach so could also account for it.. or maybe im just paranoid lol..

Scan.. i wish i was having my scan this week but we decided to put it off till monday week(i will be 20 weeks) so that mil can come too...

NEXT WEEK OMG all the visitors are turning up and i may not be around much as our computer room is also our guest room... i will try to pop on now and again though and i will definatly pop on to let you know how my scan went and how my little *girl* is really a girl hehe wishful thinking...

Prams.. for those of you with two small ones close together what are you doing in the pram department? ash will be 22/23 months when this one is born and im not sure what to do at themoment she currently HATES prams so i really don't want to spend a heap of money being a twin pram only to realise she won't sit in it.. but i don't know how i would go with a sling either...

HMM DECISIONS DECISIONS...

MY HOUSE yayay its slowly getting back to order after all the flooding etc.. im still waiting on my bed and lounge but everything else has now been fixed up original.gif

OH i also forgot to add...

When i went to the hospital last week for my booking in appointment she mentioned they ahd the blood test results and i said thats fine the doc has already gone through them with me and the only thing he said was noteworthy was that i had good high iron levels so i didn't need to take iron tablets(i eat ALOT of red meat).. but then she said well you have HIV hehe just kidding.. no seriously she said i have no immunity to rubella.. is this a major problem? im not likely to run into anyone with german measles so do i need to worry about it especially now that im almost half way also she said once bubs is born i would need to have another immunisation for it and possibly bubs would need one too. has anyone had this before? and also why would the doctor not think it was important?

Hi all,

I was only just thinking of the afterpains I had last time you know and then you go and bring it up harko1982..lol..I've also been feeling losts of movement, he's transverse at the moment and rubbing his little bum across my bladder ALLLLLLL day and night.
I've been through Suraya's baby clothes and retreived a supermarket (green bag) full of boyish looking clothes, what a great excuse to go shopping..lol

Sine - I love your new sig pic :-)
Grubb - Congrats on the little man :-)
UpTheDuff - Your wedding pics are gorgeous and I love the bridesmaids dress colour.
anna!! - Suraya was doing that exact same this this morning - taking her nappy off..lol..Wish my bum was that cute ..rofl
Luckystar - I thought I could feel hiccups too, maybe they were now that you mention it.
Chelba - How are you going? I hope you find a solution to Angus climbing the gates..Scary!

Has anyone else started getting swollen ankles? I did all the floors yesterday (sweep/vac/mop) and a heap of washing and after tea I looked at my ankles cause they felt funny and they were huge.

Does anyone know how long my baby can stay laying transverse until he's stuck that way and I end up with a ceasar? Or am I worrying for nothing?

Well must go, the Wiggles DVD has almost finished..lol

Morning girls,
Kristy – I had no immunity to rubella when pg with DS. My ob was a little concerned, probably more concerned than me actually! It is important to avoid any child with a fever or unidentified rash, but having said that, these days it is unlikely for it to be Rubella. Also, you are over the major danger period now in terms of contracting rubella. Most problems caused by rubella happen if you are infected in the first trimester. I had a shot after Jeremy was born, but I insisted on having another test for immunity before we started trying for this bub, which was just as well, as I was still not immune. So, another jab! I now have an immunity to rubella albeit not a fantastic one. Apparently some people do not hold immunity to certain viruses well – in my case I don’t hold immunity to rubella, my body apparently breaks it down very quickly. Anyway, the crux of this is even if you are vaxed again after the birth of bub, if you plan to have more children, have it checked again. All that said, I wouldn’t worry about it too much, just be a little wary of sick kids and remember that *you* actually have to contract it before there can be any problem. You have possibly been walking around for years and years with no immunity, and you haven’t caught it! That was the way I looked at it when I was pg with Jem. Hope that helps.

LittleBT, thanks heaps for fixing my pic! Would you mind pming me and explaining the process, I’ve obviously forgotten how to do it properly.

Keep the wedding pics coming – lurve them! Will have to pull mine out (they are on CD) and have a go at putting a couple up.

Jeremy was an absolute nightmare this morning! It’s just tantrum after tantrum ATM. I was ready to scream by the time we left the house. I really think half the trouble is that he’s going through yet another stage of fighting bedtime, so not going to sleep until 9-9.30 and of course he’s tired. Poured a whole bowl of rice bubbles all over the floor this morning, not great when you have to leave the house in 15 mins and neither of you are dressed yet! Oh yeah, well getting dressed, that’s another thing! I think I’m going to have to seriously ask DH to start work a little later, it’s just becoming impossible, and I don’t see why I should be a stressed out freak at 7.30am every morning! Hopefully the phase will pass soon!

Check in again later girls! Wonder how Karen is, I hope she’s doing OK.

Jemstar, thanks for that original.gif i had it checked when i was pregnant with ash and there was no problem..

I hope things get better for you and jeremy sad.gif hopefully he will stop fighting bed time so much...

Hi there,

I've been off line for weeks now so have had to spend the last hour catching up on what all of you have been doing. We had a trip to the Gold Coast to visit mum and dad and then I had a week off work and then I started a new job where I can't access the internet (at my old job I just left EB open all day - LOL). Anyways I'm back on line now.

I have only felt little movements which could be mistaken for gas, but friends tell me that it would definately be the baby. My 20 week scan is next Tuesday so I suppose I'll find out then if everything is ok.

Having been off work for about 3 weeks I went to get ready for work on Monday morning and found NOTHING fit me. Even my work shirts wouldn't button up properly so I had to wear one undone with a woolen vest over it to hide it! So funny. I didn't realise I'd popped out so much. We don't have a full length mirror at home, and from where I"m looking it doesn't look like I'm showing at all. DH assures me I'm out there, and I suppose not fitting into any clothes proves it.

So I had yesterday off work and went work clothes shopping. Ended up buying more casual clothes than anything else. THere are some seriously cute maternity clothes out at the moment so I had a ball! Spent way too much money, but as I hadn't planned to be working between now and when the baby is due and I ended up taking this new job, I decided I was entitled to splurge a bit.

Opps, I'm gasbagging on a bit too much here.

It's been great reading over the last few threads. Mish - very excited for you re having a boy!
Sine - we're not finding out what sex we're having (even though I have a secret feeling it's a girl).

Best wishes everyone

Kris- Those add-on toddler seats that attatch to your pram start at about $15, which is pretty good if she ends up not useing it much.
Rubella is only very serious if you catch it before 16 weeks. But you'll need to get immunised after the baby is born. My Dr didn't tell me if I was immune either. A pain really as i asked for that test specificly. My friend had a booster last year, apparently our age group (25yo) missed a booster at school. That's probably why your not covered, same with me if i ever get my results.

Melissa- Yes, ferral swollen ankles for me. It has a lot to do with the heat (37 here yesterday). A swim or dipping your feet in a bucket of cold water before putting them up and getting DH to cook dinner works well. Helps if DH didn't work 18hrs yesterday.

AH lena that could explain it.. i only ever had the one needle at school never had a booster so that might be why i now have low immunity..

Im 18 weeks now so no major issue i hope...

Mellissa yeah my fingers are a little swollen but heat not helping my ankles seem fine...

Got visitors coming for dinner tonight but don't want to cook much just want something simple and easy they are just relos so don't mind if its nothing too flash

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Morning All,

I've hardly felt after birth pains with both births but everyone is so different.

After feeling exhausted yesterday I ended up vacuuming, dusting and tidying the whole house and felt much better for it. I bought some multi vitamins (the Blackmores pregnancy ones) so they may be helping too. James was much better last night too. I ended up in the bed with him but he only woke a couple of times.

I bought some 3/4 black maternity pants from target yesterday for $32 and they are so comfortable. They are still a bit big but I'll grow into them. I felt a fraud in a maternity top though so got a big size tshirt from BigW. Dh commented how nice it looked so it must be OK.

I am hoping our bathroom/toilet will be finished today. We are waiting for the plumber as the shower screen and mirror went up yesterday. It looks so nice and fresh.

We are off to a 3 year old party soon - what fun!

Have good weekends everyone. I think I'll be back in the garden again.

Kate

Melissa - yep I can relate to the swollen ankles and calves. Last night I slept with a pillow under my feet and I found that it really helped a lot.

Good news about your checkup Mandy!

Am so glad it's Friday... am in a really good mood today, maybe it has something to do with the beautiful weather! Going to be a hot weekend here in melbourne!

original.gif original.gif Hello I am still here original.gif original.gif

I am bored and feeling yuck.

Kris original.gif I have a normal single pram and i will just get an add a toddler seat if we need it, Cody will be 2years and 10 months when bubs arrive and we only use the pram on swimming days as he is sooooo exhausted fom the lesson that he wont walk. So i will wait to see if i am gona need it first, If Cody is o.k to walk by then i wont bother but will take the baby front back with me when ever i go out incase he needs a rest then he can have the pram.
PRAMS it is hard enough with a single pram to get it around the shops etc so i am glad not not need a double one and must say in defence of double prams they are becoming more compact and front back ones seem to be a good idea.

Milissaoriginal.gif there are exercises that you can doo to try and coax bubs to change possitions.. please correct me if i am wrong girls? but you get in an all fours possition then put your head down on your arms and bottom up, legs as straight as comfortable....oh i would not do this if your tummy is feeling yuck or you have just eaten, or if its more comfortable then keep on you knees, but keep your head on the floor or bed.

Lena please original.gif let me know where you get those toddler seats from $15.00 + so if i need one i can get one as i dont want to spend too much as i think we wont use it for long.

o.k will check in again as i am bored and hae nothing welse to do...lol

Ahh, back again. Kristy, DH leaves for work at about 6.40, usually about 5-10 mins after Jem gets up. I shower and do hair etc before he leaves for work, which is a bit of a help. But having to get to work by 8 myself makes things a bit tricky – we have to be out the door by 7.30 at the absolute latest. This morning I didn’t leave home until nearly 7.40, so was about 15 mins late for work. DH gets home anywhere from 6-7pm. Last night he didn’t get home until about 7.15, which he *knows* is really pushing the limits. Half the reason it’s difficult to get Jem into bed at a reasonable time is because of the time DH gets home! If DH is home before 6 I almost have a heart attack, and even 6pm is good. Just having him home that half hour earlier makes life so much easier. Oh well, may as well stop whinging cause I don’t see it changing anytime soon. One of my major irritations with DH is that I reckon he has an over-inflated sense of loyalty to his work and sometimes his family suffers because of it. That sounds really negative, but I guess quite a few men are like that.

I was looking around my house this morning thinking this place is a pig sty, it really needs a major thorough going over, so I’m going to get stuck into it this weekend. While my house usually looks ‘neat’ and I keep up with the basic stuff like floors, bathrooms, washing etc, I hardly ever get the dusting done and when I was down on my hands and knees cleaning up the rice bubbles this morning I was disgusted with the state of my dining setting with splashes etc all over the wood courtesy Jeremy. And my God does the upholstery need cleaning! Really gotta pull my finger out (which means so does DH :eg:).

After pains, had some after pains with Jeremy for the first few days. They weren’t really, really bad, but I didn’t knock back Panadol and Naprosyn either! I’d actually forgotten about them until you girls brought it up! I reckon the worst bit for me of the whole process was the midwife pressing my tummy to get the excess blood out of my uterus after birth – it was the only time I swore during the whole process, and then it was a resounding ‘Oh f***!’ That *really* hurt!

Me - went to Gp got the antibiotics (Ibilex) category A drugs are safe for prego women! Good work...feeling much better today. Go to the dentist next Friday. He wants to do a root canal but I just want them to pull it out - less pain, less appointments, less money - way less money? But they wont. sad.gif oh well I will cope.
** Went to the Cinema last night and watch 2 brothers a tiger movie, it was really cute, for a family but it was my choice this week! LOL Warren loved it too.....I cried of course, but I cry over everything!! LOL

My Mum also dropped over last night armed with 2 yellow teddy bear mink blankets, 2 cot quilt sets (one lion king and one lime green teddy bears etc) she is so excited and they are lovely....Makes it all the more exciting to get presents already.

We are heading off for some quiet together time on Sunday and will be in Margaret River until about Wednesday......I am looking forward to it, but Warren reckons I better find a nice mood as I have been like a tiger with a sore head LOL (i said no crap looser a toothache!)

What is eveyone up to for the weekend? Or today? I am bored too today......should do some house work when I get home.

hi again,
sorry, i didn't mean to remind everyone of the afterpains. Sounds like I got a few of you worried about something there is no avoiding. It just seems that every women out there is telling me about them. I only got them when i was breastfeeding and it felt like nauseous period pain. DH wasn't allowed to talk to me for about the first 10 minutes of breastfeeding.

I just went and paid off my entire credit card debt, $1,300 and now we are taking the scissors to them. One debt out of the way. Big weight lifted.

Kristy-I'm not shopping for a cot or anything until after Xmas, hoping that they will have sales on, but i know exactly what i want. Even though Riley is 3 we still go on big days out where he wants us to carry him. No way. I am buying a sit and stand pram by Babylove. The baby sits at the front and where the handles are there is 2 steps so Riley can either stand on it facing the front or sit down with a footrest. Much safer than the skateboards because i can still harness him in. I got quoted $330. If I had a scanner I'd show you the pamphlet i have but i don't. They are really light too. Hope I helped.

Lunch time..........

I have just had the yuckiest vegitable lasagne, I am not even sure what some of the vigies were!!!!

Well feeling a little better today, Baby A, has definately had the biggest shift up. So hopefully that is what caused the dramas yesterday.

I am also watching my stress level today, and handing over some of my work to others, which should help.

After pains.........I had a top up on my epidural that only kicked in after I had given birth with DS, so spent most of the night motionless, and wide awake staring at my little darling. Then the next day, all that kicked in was the 13 stitches.........

Rubella - I wasn't immune the first time round either, and just put it out of my head. I think it is only bad if you catch it early on.

Sine - glad you had a good night. Your dinner must have been better than mine. I had made a casserole in the morning. DH put it on, and then promptly forgot about it. I am sure the dogs will think they are in heaven though......... I loved the little picture, thanks for that - gave me a giggle.

Well back to work, my finishing time has been discussed this morning and roll in January!

Big hugs girls.

Hi Girls,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while, I try to keep up with reading the post, but find it hard to reply often.

I hope you and the kidlets are all well and happy.

Sine, Thanks for updating my info on the list, could you also put me down as a "purple person" as we still are unsure of that the sex of bubs is. Also I love your new signature, you are so clever to be able to change it - I am so helpless is scary!!

Jen, I love your wedding pictures!!

Kris, I have a Valco Runabout 2 pram which I got for DS 2 1/2 years ago, which is handy now as I just brought the toddler seat to attach. I dont use the pram that much now when we go out, but I know I will later when bubs arrives - also I wont have to worry about DS running off and me trying to chase after him. I used a sling when going shopping with DS until he was 3 months old as I didnt want to put him in on a germ filled trolley. I recommend a Baby Bjorn which you can pick up 2nd hand quite reasonably priced.

Bree, I hope you have a great time down south, Margaret river is one of my favourite places.

Jemstar, Sleep - I HAD a problem with Joshua and I contact a woman who I cant speak highly enough of. Her name is Andrea Bogue and she was on Today Tonight on 12/11/03 so if you want to have a look at 7perth.com.au, I am sure the info will still be there, if not her phone number is 0409 944 188. I have given her number out to anyone who has had toddler/baby sleep problems and they ALL love her as well. Good luck with whatever you do - tired tandrums are no fun at all, nor is parent sleep deprivation (sp?)!!!!!!

My news is that Joshua has the Chicken Poxs and a slight fracture to his shine bone and unable to walk. The Drs wont put a thigh to ankle cast on due to possible infection of any poxs under the cast. So meanwhile I have a whiny spotty toddler that can crawl a little, but wants to be carried EVERYWHERE!!! Now we have to wait til next week and if still not walking he is to see the Orthopaedic Clinic for further assessment - hopefully the Pox have cleared up as well.

As for my other little passenger, all is well, I had a 3D scan the other day and didnt find out the sex, although I "think" I saw something. I am almost 21 weeks and going along smoothly.

I promise to write again soon.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Take care and tummy rubs to all.

I’m still here too. It’s seems to be a slow day at work for many.

Cindy- $15 sounds really cheap for that toddler seat. That’s the price the lady in our local baby shop gave me for one that fits my Bertini 4 wheel steerable (heaviest pram on earth), which only carries up to a 12kg kid. Since DS is 11kgs now I doubt he’ll fit in it by April. On the other hand my cheap pram, the Steelcraft, has a toddler seat available which carries up to 15kgs. Also hardly worth getting depending on how quite DS grows.
I don’t like the skateboard things (Target sell), which I think DS who will be 15 months in April will be to little for. SO looks like I’ll be getting a double pram.

Jemstar- My DH also has an over inflated sense of loyalty to his job. Which is understandable as we own the business. But when it’s nearly 9pm who’s more important? A bunch of old farts down at the whoop whoop pub with hot beer or your pregnant wife who hasn’t got dinner for your screaming 9 month old baby because she can’t move without spewing!!!! So glad M/S has gone.
Oh it’s a bit of a DH vent today. Poor bugger did 6am to 12:30 midnight yesterday and still got up at 2am to feed the baby. Shouldn’t complain.

Bree- The words ‘Root canal’ still send shivers down my spine. I’ve had 2. The first one the dentist dropped a metal file inside my tooth so I had to have the tooth removed. The second one was excruciating, despite the Endodontist (Root Canal specialist) assuring me that ‘it could possibly be still hurting.’ I found out 2 years later (whilst PG) that the root from tooth #1 with the file in it had broken off whilst being extracted and had caused a nasty infection in my jawbone, hence the excruciating pain when having Root canal #2. It took dental professional #7 to find this!
So I’m sure you’ll have better luck than me.

Tania- Joshua has been in the wars. How do you cope? Chicken pox and a broken leg poor little fella.

OOO gee sorry for babbling blush.gif one of those days.

original.gif original.gif Hello ma again original.gif original.gif

I am feeling better now and have done some baking
MMMM..... Rhubarb pie to have tonight with custard yummo... ;p (yes i think i am feeling alot better...lol) and an orange cake because my little man loves cake and Cody and I made buscuits in xmas tree shapes and little men and he help decorate them with mini m&m's in which he hardly ate any..... go figure?

Lena original.gif Yes my little man is 13kilos now but is a lean little chap and very tall (as DH is 6ft 2) so i will just wait to see how he goes like i said we only use the pram on swimming day, and i can use the front pack for Bub's if Cody needs the pram so I hopefully wont need one...fingers crossed. but at least for others who have little ones they are very handy, when i went to my Hospital visit there was a lady there and her baby boy will be 11months old when her baby is born so I think she will definatly need a double pram.
What sort of pram are you looking at? I really like the look of the new front, back pram , three wheeler, and the other seat is detatchable and you can put a basket under there instead the front seat is a bit higher than the norm, and the back seat is kinda under it abit sort of where the basket would go, very versatile and compact so shouldnt take up to much space in the car.

Well Cody is watching Play School i am hoping he will have a sleep so i can too.

Oh well better go i have yapped enough...lol.... gee you gal's must think i am crazy.. i am bored oh and blonde...lol. original.gif ;p

Oh food avice please !!!!!!! original.gif I would love to make a home made cheese cake for christmas day but am sure i read that i can not have soft cheese , does this include creamed cheese? :quest:

Thanks in advance

Hi,

How are we all doing in this lovely stinking hot weather? I have a very busy weekend ahead, tomorrow I am hosting a Body Shop party and Saturday night is our staff Christmas dinner and Sunday I probably should finish off writing my school reports.

Sine - Love the Christmas card picture, your kids just look absolutely gorgeous!

Tania - Poor Joshua sounds like he is in the wars! I hope is doing OK. Pleased to hear all went well with your scan!

Rachel - I am happy to hear that you are better today, that is great news!

Hayley - Congrats for paying off your credit card debit! I bet that is a big relief off your shoulders!

Bree - I am glad to read that you are on some antibiotics, that should help but sorry about the root canal, not that I have ever had one, I just absolutely hate the dentists. I have a severe phobia! All the best for next Friday! The baby stuff your Mum bought over sounds cute! It does get exciting doesn't it? Enjoy Margaret River!

Jemstar - I know what you mean about the house being a pigsty, since I have people coming over tomorrow, DH and I plan to do a quick clean and tidy up in the areas that everyone will see.

Mandy - Glad all went well with your check up and you are measuring spot on! Love to hear good news!

Kate - You must have been very busy with all that cleaning, as mentioned above, that is what I will be doing tomorrow morning before it gets too stinking hot!

Kris - Enjoy having people over for dinner! Something I don't enjoy doing, especially when it is hot. When I got home DH decided that we should go out for dinner, super idea I thought!

Trudes - Sounds like the baby to me, the first lots of movement you doubt that it is the baby but as they become more regular and stronger you will know that they were Bubs wriggling around! Least you had a good excuse for some retail therapy. When I put on something that would fit the week before I know that I have expanded.

I am sorry if I missed anyone out but it is too damned hot in this room, off to the cooler room, I think it must have gotten to 40 here today!

It is definate I am finishing up the 2nd week of January..........count down begins.

As for my bubies, I just knew there was movement, and yes DH and I have just put on the doppler and twin A has come out of his cubby hole, and moved right up. I have always found the heartbeat right down low, and now tonight it was up much higher.......Also I got stuck in traffic coming home and was being given a severe kicking from the inside in all directions original.gif where as i normally only get it from twin B.
I have told them off for the tears and anguish they put me through yesterday!!!!

Going to have a weekend organising my Xmas shopping and doing all my cards. Plus I might even do some cropping (albums), I must finish DS before I have to start on two more.

big hugs, one much happier mummy to be.

Add: Donna, hope you are feeling happier today my sweet.

This is gonna be way too much info girls, but had to vent somewhere and this is the only place I can! Was out doing some Chrissy shopping this arvo when I felt a major amount of 'wetness' rushed to the loo to find the most massive amount of discharge! YUUUUUUUUK! It soaked through my pants leaving a 'wet patch' OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Had to leave the shops with my shopping bag held up in front of me! Guess who is not leaving the house without 'protection' from now on?????? Also meant I didn't get my secret santa pressie, damn it, and will have to go back to the shops tomorrow!

Be warned girls...... panty liners, panty liners, panty liners!

Hello,

I finally got over my morning sickness, tiredness and anxiety and have more time now so will try and keep up with this thread! We had our scan last week and found out we're having a boy. Its funny as I was thinking I'd like another girl for ages but the last few days before the scan I was thinking about a boy and it was. I thought I could see something on the first image that popped up and asked "is it a boy or a girl?" and the sonographer thought I was a bit impatient and said she normally waits until the end of the scan so parents don't get too distracted.

I'm feeling some movement, got quite a shove tonight after I tried to lie on my tummy. Caitlin was really hard to get off to sleep, she has some bites or something on her chest which I thought might be chicken pox but doctor said probably not. No more have appeared since yesterday.

Jemstar I had a similar experience but luckily it was in the middle of the night. It was cold getting up to get Caitlin back to sleep and I sneezed so hard, should have gone to the loo before going to Caitlin. Hasn't happened before so I'd better get back to the yoga.

Cindy you could try a baked cheesecake, I used to make a Brandy Alexander one from one of the Women's Weekly cookbooks. I think creamed cheese is ok anyway as its process but check at the ANZFA or similar website. I would check for you but we've exceeded our bandwidth for the month and are on go slow til the end of the month. I made poached salmon (in milk), oven fries and steamed veg for dinner and Caitlin ate almost a whole piece of salmon.

Hope to get to know you all again

[center][font=tahoma]Hey Aprilites!! original.gif

Just a quickie.. (ooh theres that word again!! LOL).

JA felt the Womb Dweller on Wednesday night, YAY finally! Then Jacko (mstr 6) felt him/her tonight. So movements are getting stronger.

Someone asked about transverse????... Jack was transverse until 34wks I think. Then turned breech, then turned cephelic at 36wks. Instructions from my doctor were..

QUOTE
If your waters break, be at the hospital five minutes before that!!!

The reason being, the cord can come out first, which is REAL bad.

If anyone with a transverse baby OR suffers from Polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid) has their waters break. You drop to the floor face down, with your knees to your chest, and bum right up in the air. If your cord does come out hold a towel or something, ANYTHING, over your bits and stay there, DON'T MOVE until an ambulance arrives.

I know this from Tiarnes pregnancy with Polyhydramnios & Jacko's with him being transverse. The midwives and my doctor would tell me all the time. And if you've been in the John Hunter Hospital (in Newcastle) wards, you know where the phone is at the entry of the Ante/Post Natal ward? I wasn't to go past this for the two weeks I was in before Tiarne was born.

Anyway onto something else. Was walking home from picking kids up from school today, and what blocked our path on the narrow road?????? ANOTHER BLOODY SNAKE!! Fairdinkum this is ridiculous! 2 in as many weeks! This was a red belly, and Jacko nearly stood on it!! The only reason I did see it just in time, was because it was in the shade on the road and we were in the sun. And I hit the shade just before Jacko took another step. He totally didn't see it. Now this goes into the "heart in throat" collection I have!! But one of the darling blokes at the pub came up and deaded it for us. I still don't think Jacko knows how close he came!

**Edited to ask Dolly** Did I beat ya?? Am I up later than you?? LOL ;p

Donna, are we both up later than Dolly tonight?? (well I'm not really, only 10.45 in Perth!)

Ange, unfortunately my experience wasn't wee it was ummmm.... vaginal! No more disharge thank goodness, DH almost died laughing when I told him! NOT FUNNY DH! Although, I am having the odd snigger myself now!

Jem (miracle of miracles) actually went to sleep fairly well tonight, welcome relief! Sometimes I wonder if I am making him go to bed too early (I wouldn't think so, he goes at about 8pm most nights) but tonight I was watching a bit of Ice Age with him and I put him to bed about 8.45, he was asleep by 9 with very little carry on (well, no carry on really compared to his usual performance). What do you all reckon, I have noticed him do this before.

Hi Everyone,

We're back! Had a great time, but very glad to be home. The plane trip was a killer. Owen slept for about 5 hours each time, which left 7 hours to amuse him.

We drove 3,500 miles or 5950 klms in the 3 weeks. Saw lots of the country. I have put some pics on the msn group http://groups.msn.com/EBDueinApril2005.

Lucky for the credit card we had to watch excessive luggage and stop shopping or else we would have bought the shops out. Some things are soooo cheap. I bought a double pram for only $112.00AUD. It was get to put all the shopping bags in. There were some absolutely lovely outfits for "Princess" had to stop myself only got about 10. original.gif

Owen is outfitted for next winter. Two-piece outfits, jean and tops between $10.00 and $15.00 Aud. We went to the outlet malls and most of them have Maternity shops that cater for sizes up to 3XL and very cheap. I got a few things but because it was mainly winter things. I did get some clothes for after going out clothes that would cost over $100.00 each here were under $50.00 there.

Baby behaved while we were away, MS finally settled down a couple of days after we got there. I don’t fell her kicks like I did with the boys, might have to do with the extra padding that I have now.

I have only had a chance to read a few posts and had forgotten about after pains until I read about them. I used to take Panadol about 30 minutes before a feed when they were at their worst.

I will try to catch up with more posts over the next few days.

Welcome back Julie!

Jen ITS SATURDAY you had your scan FRIDAY!

The party next door went to 4-5am they were pretty well-behaved. Just went on and on...

Louis is telling his parents I am pregnant today, I am so nervous honestly they are awful people and will be so awful about it, I feel sorry for Louis, he really did not know people could be good until he met my family and I.. I often wonder what kind of childhood the poor boy had, just seem so loveless sad.gif

THEN after he does that the twins are singing and dancing at their school fete they are hawaiian girls they will be so cute!

I posted this the other day and thought I would post it again at my nuchal fold, she was sue bub was a boy up at the RBH they have VERY high tech scans, the lady last week told me it was a girl and her scanning machine was not as good, I have another friend on another board that was told her bub was a boy early than me and at her 18+ scan they STILL said boy. I seriuosly cant help shaking the feeling that they are going too say boy, I dont care, just want to be sure! And if *it* is a boy I am going to sell the GIRL clothes!

Good morning Mum's to be -

DH and I were up earlier than we would like to be on a Saturday morning as they are doing work at the Kindy, which is just behind their house. I am not sure what temperature they are forecasting here but I think it is late 30's or early 40's. Not the best day to be having a Body Shop party but anyway it will be fun getting pampered.

Movement - How exciting for all of those DH's who are starting to feel it? DH is always too slow or Hush stops when he tries to feel. I get lots of precious kicks though. I also find Hush is very active when I am eating my porridge in the morning!

Sine - You will have to get a pic of your little Hawaiian girls, I bet they will look just gorgeous. I hope all goes well with Louis telling his parents about your arrival. Pleased to hear that the party next door was well behaved, not much fun when they aren't!

Julie - Welcome back! Sounds like you had a productive trip especially on the shopping front. A very good effort! I can only imagine the plane trip being a killer. Great news about the m/s! I think mine has eventually gone too!

Jemstar - Your discharge story brought a smile to my face probably only because it hasn't happened to me yet! But thanks for the warning! LOL

Donna - How freaky to see another snake! On camp we saw quite a few but I never have here, thankfully, not that I am scared of them but don't really want to come across one.

Ange - Good news about the little boy! They boys might catch up! I am pleased that you are feeling much better. I am too!

Congratulations to all of you who have reached or past 20 weeks!

Well, better be off and start cleaning before my visitors arrive this afternoon!

Sine at my NF scan I was told it was too early to tell the sex and that they often get it wrong at that early stage. At my 18 week scan it was definatly a boy. It really stood out blush.gif. I would be going on what they told you at the 18 week scan.
I too thought I was having the opposite to what I was told. I thought this was a girl. ( this is my fist pregnancy I have got the sex wrong) but I think for me it was more a case of really wanting a girl.

One thing for certain is that you will know for sure when bubs is born original.gif

Julie glad to hear you had a great holiday. original.gif I was thinking you must be back soon.
I am goign to tackle two bedrooms this morning as they are all finished being painted. original.gif original.gif So at least 2 rooms will look ok again original.gif. The babies room/ graysons room just needs the windows and doors glossed . Then I can set up all the baby stuff. Although the baby will share our room for 5 months or so. I have bought heaps of baby stuff since finding out we are having a boy. Some of it is so so cute original.gif I love Pumpkin patch for baby boys stuff.

I sent back my doppler as I just did not need it anymore. This baby is like a jumping bean and moves day and night original.gif original.gif original.gif Grayson was also very active and still is ! so I think I will be in trouble in 20 more weeks.

Have a great day!

I Forgot to add we are tossing around Clayton or Oliver as a name. Nothing just grabs me this time like it did with my other children. Is anyone else having name problems.?
