Just a quick warning - we had the night from hell last night with my 27 month old needing surgery under general anaesthetic to extract a 10 cent coin from his throat. It's routine surgery, but there is a tiny risk of mortality and waiting for him to come out was terrifying. It only took seconds for him to swallow it, and since he initially threw up another coin and then calmed down I thought he was fine until we discovered that he wouldn't eat.
Don't let your children play with your purse, or anything else that they could choke on.
