HI
Just wondering at what temp you dress you child in long sleeved pj's?
I hate having the responsibility of clothing someone else because i am constantly too hot or too cold - especially at night and especially being pregnant!!!

Would love to hear what you do...
DS room is currently 19/20 degrees - last few nights he's been in long bottom, short sleeve top and light sleeping bag...sleeping great (7-7) but wondering when its time to put long sleeves on as this morning i was freezing in short sleeves...

DD's room is about the same temp as yours and i have her in long top, long bottoms and she sleeps fine. DS the same. I know what you mean about not knowing though, especially during pregnancy.

Personally i would go the other way, and have long sleeve top and short bottom, because the top half isnt really covered iykwim

Hello,

I know, it's really hard isn't it.

I have the same problem, mainly also that my 2 boys kick their doona off during the night, even the zip up one. The problem for me is that I dress them warmer for the early hours of the morning when it is coldest, but they are too warm at first so I actually put the air-cond on to make their rooms cool when they first go to sleep (crazy hey)?

I find the best test is when they very first wake up, unzip them and feel the skin on their legs and arms. If it's nice and warm I assume they are ok. If it is freezing cold to touch then I will switch to something warmer.

I worry so much (probably habit from having bad sleepers and scared they will wake up from being too hot or cold), that if I wake during the night and it's cold I go and check and tuck them in, or it it's too hot, I put some fresh air into their room on a low fan setting.

Sound completely neurotic ;-), but after having 2 bad sleepers for nearly 3 years you become desperate.

Good Luck

Mine are both in long pjs (flanalettes, actually) for the same reason - in the early morning hours in gets really cold. They go to bed with just a sheet and then at night I put a blanket over them.
