Thanks Teresa for doing the list. It looks great. biggrin.gif

Think there might be a slight touch of preggy brain in that I noticed Angie was down twice on the 19th and 21st tongue.gif I don't know, maybe you were waiting for her to update her due date?
Anyway, it's looking really good so thanks for taking the trouble to do it.

Only 3 hours and 45 minutes till my scan. I'm so anxious I couldn't sleep last night. I'll let you all know how I go when I get back,

Lisa ~ Sorry to hear about your loss sending bbighug.gif your way.

Teresa ~ Thanks for spending the time doing up the list looks great. You can add that I am in Brisbane and that our little bbaby.gif is refered to as Jelly. Thanks again.

Well I have a busy week of organising before we go away for easter. Looking forward to it but got heaps to do before then.

Sticky vibes to those that are having spotting atm.

Hi Ladies

Just finished reading the old thread, and wanted ti officially introduce myself and say a big bloated hello to you all!! grin.gif

My DH and i are expecting our first bub in Nov. Today i have a dating scan so i shall be able to confirm my due date this evening... I think i am on the 28th but who knows... my history of regularity aint too good! laughing2.gif

Dear Lisa, my thoughts are with you too... hands.gif

I am very pleased to be included with you all and share the good times, funny times, scary and tough times....either way we are on the same thread! hehe..

Luv smile1.gif
Teresa
Sorry Angie blush.gif
definately preggo brain at work

Updated now!! biggrin.gif

I am feeling very bleurgh today. DH is going in to hospital today, hopefully he is out again tomorrow. But looks like I have a busy day ahead of me.
Katrina2202
Hi girls

I have just spent the last week in Fiji so I have totally missed out on quite a few posts!!

I am so sorry to hear about the losses we have had recently. I hope this time is not too traumatic for you all and we are thinking about your little angels! sad.gif

I have been vomiting, and nausaeus(??) and feeling very dizzy and light headed. It has been very difficult for me to stand up for too long without nearly falling over. blink.gif I don't remember feeling this bad with DD so it must be a boy! biggrin.gif

DH has been fantastic and we had DD's 2nd birthday yesterday and he arranged everything including baking her birthday cake! blush.gif I appreciated it so much because I was feeling really lousy. sick.gif

I am going shopping today to buy a couple of maternity shirts for work. I am starting a new part time job tomorrow and figured that although I haven't grown too much yet, there is no point buying "normal" clothes because they wont fit for long! laugh.gif

OK, DD is having a nap so I am going to join her. I managed to have a nap everyday in Fiji and I don't know how I am going to get through the day tomorrow without one when I am back at work rolleyes.gif .

Have a good day!
rdsmum
Hi Ladies!!
Sorry havent been on for a few days, our internet was down, but all fixed!! A spunky telstra guy came to fix it for me!!!!

Lisa - I am so sorry for your loss. Please take care of yourself.

Well i'm still feeling very sick.gif vomitted the past few mornings. Yesterday there was blood in my vomit, not sure if thats bad or not. Probably about 2 teaspoons worth of red blood. Didnt happen again though......... Anyone know anything about that?

Ok, better be off, will catch up properly later!!

Rach
angiegnb2
hi,
Thanks for fixing that up for me, it was my fault though, had my dates mixed up at first... blush.gif
Hope everyone is well, I'm feeling so sick.gif but nothing has left my body yet, so I guess that's a good thing!
Katrina, wish I could've gone to Fiji!! Jealous!!
Rach, no idea about the blood (sorry), but wanted to wish it away for you.

thanks again for list, love it!!

Take care, sticky vibes and belly rubs to you all

Hi girls, just been reading through and so sorry for the ladies who have had scares and losses... sad.gif

Welcome to Sules grin.gif

I have been getting more and more m/s, mostly in the mornings but also in late afternoon and get really dizzy alot too..why is it again I wanted symptoms...lol

Freya how did your scan go today?

Teresa - thanks for taking the time to do such a great list. My prediction is for a boy this time...

About what you are calling the baby...last time with DD, when we found out she was a girl, we had already picked her name so just called her her name and didn't have any other NN up til the then...I don't think we will this time either until we have the sex scan and then have the name picked out again.

Ugh, well I am getting dizzy and feeling sick.gif sitting here at the computer so I have to ring off. Hope you are all fabulous...won't it be nice once we are through this first trimester and feeling better...
bodyclock
Hi all,
Have been waiting to reply at a time I haven't felt like I'm going to vomit into the keyboard, but not quite there yet!! I was really sick right through my last pregnancy, so am determined that it won't happen again (how quickly we forget, and think 'sure, I can do it again') laughing2.gif

I can't keep my mouth shut this time, and have told most people I talk to - everyone except work, because it's so important that they don't know for just a bit longer. Although I'm sick at work a bit, I'm hoping no one's picking up on it because DD is still relatively young....am sneaking LOTS of salty snacks out of my bag!

Sorry to all who have had losses...early or not, there is no easy time to go through a miscarriage sad.gif

Will start getting into some personals as I get to know you all a bit better.

Cheers,
Sules
Dear all

I am a happy girl! grin.gif
I had an internal ultrasound today, which was booked weeks and weeks ago for something completely unrelated to pg It was to see what was going on re: painful periods etc... which ive been experiencing for months and months. However, since my DH and I found out we were pg, i decided to keep the u/s date and use it to do a date-scan instead! I was sooo tempted to cancel the apt because i thought it was far too early to be snooping around before or 12 week scan, but after much consultation here, i decided to keep the apt.

I am so glad that i did. I saw A HEART BEAT today - as little as it was, it was exciting (im being quitely excited?!?!). It was nice to see that all was good so far. Something real.... WOW! Now i just hands.gif that all will be okay from here on in.
Either way its an amazing thing....

Just thought id share my excitement with you all.. DH and i are not telling anyone (besides immediate family) till the 12-week-magic date!

wub.gif
Teresa
Sules - Congratulations on seeing the heartbeat. that is wonderful news!!
NYE
sules - congratulations!!! A heart beat must be very exciting. I have my first appointment where they will do a scan aat 8 weeks and hoping to hear the same.

Teresa - great job on the list!!! Thank you. Extra info from me...

Yes I know it's strange, but came about when I DH was picking the most hideous name he could find to joke with him mum about. Unfortunately he still uses it as a joke. smile1.gif
AandEsMum
Hi everyone,

Sules........glad your scan went well. I had mine today too and am happy to report that we have a baby with a heart beat too!

I'm 6 weeks 2 days and she could do it abdominally and see the HB which was very reassuring. I tell you I was nervous cos I was absolutely busting and if she couldn't see anything with the normal US she was going to do the trans vaginal. I just kept thinking 'I hope I can control my bladder if you have to insert something in me'! blush.gif I hadn't been for 2 and a half hours!

Bubs measured the grand total of 4.1mm Crown to Rump and the HB was 112. So Amazing to think that something so tiny has a HB!

Anyway, I'm off to bed early as I was so anxious b/c of the scan that I couldn't sleep last night.
Belly rubs to all,
tam1979

Hello,

I see lots of people are having early scans, this is my first pg and i am not having my first scan until 10 weeks, should i be having one earlier? We are going privately and bub is due around the 27/11/07. I cannot get over how tired i am and I have been feeling quiet sick lately. Any advice would be great.

bella - with Alex my first ultrasound wasn't until 12 weeks. that is perfectly normal. You might have an early ultrasound for dating or bleeding or previous complications eg miscarriage. Morning Sickness is awful isn't it? I think the trick is to find something that settles your stomach. You could try ginger. I think blackmores have a morning sickness tablet, some people I know have tried seasickness bands and if it gets too bad you could go to your gp and he may prescribe you something to help ease it. With Jacob I found cooked potatos helped ease my morning sickness.
~Lynny~
Hi everyone!

just wanted to pop my head in and see how everyone were doing!

Im extremely tired, bloated with the sorest boobies ever!!

Just found out that one of my EB friends will be having a bub in december - about two weeks after me. this is the same gap we had last time we we're pregnant! We both have the same medical conditions too.. bicornuate uterus etc and our birthdays are pretty close as well - its so freaky! LOL

Teresa Great job with the list!

Rach - hows the vomiting going - notice anymore blood? unsure.gif

YAY to all the people who have had scans and seen heart beats - i am super jealous!! LOL I wont see my bubba till the nuchal scan which is 17th May - thats ages away! cry1.gif

why arnt my tickers working grrr

ok try this one
KTB
Hi Ladies,

Had my first Dr app yesterday. Had a little internal scan in the rooms but weren't able to see a heartbeat yet. It took a while to find it at all which was initailly concerning because I could see the look of puzzlement (is that a real word?) on the Obs face but eventually he found the sac tucked away on the side. He said he was happy with the size and shape and he could see the yolk so looks good but no heartbeat and no real decision whether it is viable. He has taken bloods and I will get more taken next Mon then back to see him on the 16th for another look. So keep your fingers crossed for me.

It was a bit stressful not seeing a HB but I am hoping that it is just too soon. My HPT line was REALLY faint on the day I thought I was due so maybe I am not as far along as I think I am.

Info for the list is
Mercy Hosp Perth

Hope you are all well

Dear All

Thank you all for your lovely thoughts on my scan.. i certainly feel good after seeing it. Im being careful and grinning inside!

Today - went shopping down bridge rd with friends - didnt buy a thing!!! We all know why, but worse - im knownn for being a bit of a "shopping queen", and trying to say "ahhh nah Im trying to control myself" was hard (hopefully believable too?!?!?!). i havent told anyone yet besides family..so it was awkward at times. I did buy some shoes tho, 1/2 a size bigger laughing2.gif Hope thats enough so i can get some wears out of it? Its quite funny actually. I found myself peering into maternity shops secretly sussing out the "latest fashions" happy.gif

Flicksgifts - you poor thing... lots of tummy rubs!!! I hope you feel better soon, nothing worse than feeling lousy! But i guess its all part of the game.. i too am starting to feel the motions - LITERALLY!!! laughing2.gif

To all the ladies - hope all is well? Luv to you all, believe it or not i do think about checkin in with "my posse" laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif (i dont even know how to spell that) everyday to just say hi, and it makes me feel ok about being pg! Thanks ladies

Hi

Just bumping us up. Found this thread at the bottom of the second page ohmy.gif

I am still not well. I went to the dr yesterday and have a sinus infection. Alex came home from school yesterday with a temperature and not feeling well but he says he is feeling great this morning. Hubby got home from hospital yesterday and isnt doing as well as we should and meanwhile Jacob is full of beans and being his usual 2 year old self. I was off work yesterday and again today and with Easter it means I won't be back again until next Tuesday so hopefully I start to feel better so I can actually enjoy the break.

m/s is starting to get a bit worse. Not too bad. I seem to only feel nauseous after I eat. Initially I would only feel sick for about 10 minutes but now it is lingering for an hour or so and it is fine again until I eat.

I am all booked for the nuchal fold scan on the 7th May!! Yay! It can't come quick enough though. I dreamt last night I was having the scan and saw my little baby up on the screen.

Oh and no probs about the list. It definately helps to get to know everyone.

Anyway, I had better go and see what the weather is going to be like today and start getting Alex ready for school.
rdsmum
Morning Everyone!
I must apologise for not being a active as I'd like to be! ssorry.gif The m/s is just starting to get on top of me a little bit, and staing at the computer screen doesnt really help!
No more blood in my vomit, so I'm thinking I may have just grazed my throat from all the dry heaving. sick.gif Sorry if TMI!!
I Must also remember to book te 12 week scan sometime this week, as I'm told they get booked up very fast.

KTB ~ My fingers are crossed for your next scan! Think positive ok!!!

flicksgifts ~ Congratulations and welcome to our group!!! Time really does go so fast doesnt it!!!

Sules ~ laughing2.gif I know what you mean about shopping!! The past few weeks I have seen soooo much stuff I want to get, but then think hang on, it would be a waste coz I wont fit it for long! lol. Be good when were big enough for maternity stuff! More shoping!!! woo hoo!!!! ddance.gif

Teresa ~ Thats no good to hear that your little family isnt very well at the moment! Hope you all make a quick recovery! And thank you so much for the list! its great!!

Ok, I'm off now!!!

Rach biggrin.gif

P.S ~ Dont you just love all these new smilie things!!!
Sules
Good Morning All

Teresa - i wish you a better day today, for you and your family.... bbighug.gif

Rach - laughing2.gif Now I am off shopping and into heaving sick.gif !

Rest of the ladies - hope all is well? Luv to you all!

Okay... it is time to move this along.. i feel like the days are at least 48 hours EACH!! yyawn.gif yyawn.gif yyawn.gif

Im a teacher you see, and the holidays are a great blessing = rest time! But it also gives you TIME!!!!! ...to think, to feel and think some more! Im reading all kinds of threads here, and am starting to feel a little oomg.gif ffear.gif ddown.gif oomg2.gif ffear.gif ddown.gif and then some.... i feel a little MAD! It is also no fun when you can't share the news or talk about it with anyone. It makes me wanna cry1.gif sometimes. It seems like a long road all of a sudden. When i teach through the term it feels like the days just fly past... but now im pg ad every day feels like a term!

Hmmmmmm.... im sorry i had to get that out of my system - i went to bed feeling that way and woke up the same! Sorry ladies!! Anyway, hugs to you all.. i need to get out of the house for a bit...

Cya soon
bodyclock
Hi all,
Just a quick note today...

To all those not having early U/S, don't worry or feel as though you are missing out on anything.

It's all well and good to have the scans when needed (bleeding, acute pain, unsure dates), but as a sonographer, there is nothing worse that telling people that we can't see a heart beat. Most of the time it's just because it's too early, but that doesn't seem to ease patient's minds, and to say they have to come back again a couple of weeks later doesn't really help anyone either.

I fully understand that there's a lot of comfort in seeing bubs, but holding off for another few weeks makes a much more interesting scan - you can then see arms, legs etc and it begins to look like a baby instead of a grain of rice! And, better still, you avoid having an internal scan tongue.gif

Hope everyone is feeling OK...am sure we're doing our bit for weight loss in these few weeks - how come I need to eat to stop feeling sick, but when I do eat I feel sick??
Teresa
bodyclock - that is the way I was with my boys. I would feel sick and know I had to eat, so I would eat and feel great whilst eating and then feel sick again. This time I am getting incredibly hungry and just feeling weird if I don't eat and then I eat and feel sick. sick.gif

Sules - I know what you mean about time dragging. I try to break things up a bit. For me it is looking forward to closer things. As you say school holidays are coming up so that means only another week at school after easter then Alex is at home for 2 weeks and time usually flies when he is on school holidays, then back at school and then it is Jakeys birthday and 3 days later my scan. After that I will look forward to my nxt ob appt, then my birthday and then my 18 week scan. Oh yeah and I will confess to checking out the maternity clothes too. I actually walked up the other end of the shopping centre last week just so I could walk past the maternity clothes shop and check out what they had in the window. wwhistle.gif
tam1979
Hi, hope you have all been feeling well today.
I have been a bit off most of the day, mainly like Theresa after I eat. I think i need to eat smaller more frequent meals maybe?

I went to a Laura Benini shoe party last night these are very expensive shoes, although I could not help myself so I bought a pair for winter blush.gif

I have been told about this thread - I think it is worth a look, it is tips from mums, i found it handy -

Sules
Hi there all

Geez today was a rollercoaster of emotions cry1.gif cry1.gif cry1.gif .... hence im tucked up in bed now. Wore myself out! closedeyes.gif I think too much, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day...

U know it was my aunt that got me started... She began talking about all the negative things that are associated with being pg! All i wanted to do was strangle her - i did have an out of body experience in doing it! She doesn't know that im pg.. but her other niece is 20-something weeks along! So i sat there quietly screaming at her... but its hard to say much.

I really want to stay positive and enjoy this great time in my life. Its a blessing, and i want to see it as such. Tell me, how do you listen respectfully, disregard the crap and validate the most appropriate things - whats true and whats not? Mind you with "preggie brain" setting in, any thoughts are possible.

Tam 1979 - thanks for the helpful hints link, in all that i am feeling it was quite a nice remedy!

To all the Nov mummies - hope things are going well.. cheers to good food and nice wine in 8 months time!! Tummy rubs to all! Take care wub.gif
Lammy
Hi Guys

Have been MIA fro a week or two - somehow there just never seem to be enought hours in the day when you have two toddlers!!

Am plodding along slowly. AM feeling generally ill and queasy pretty much 24/7 - JOy oh joy!!! Can't wait for the first trimester to be over!!!! I hate feeling so tired and lethargic especially when it is impossible to find any time to lie down and take some time out.

I find that chocolate and McDonalds seem to be the best cures for my MS - has been the same in every pregnancy. And I need to eat dinner early - too late and I can't stomach anything.

Am not sure if it is the result of three pregnancies in 3.5 years or if it is the easter bunny sized amount of chocolate I have consumed but I can hardly fit into any of my clothes. I normally don't show until really late and already I have a bump forming (though it is heavily disguised by a squishy tummy!) Will have to dig out my old maternity clothes soon!!! Argh! Last time I didn't need them until 25 weeks!!!

Well sorry for such a me me me post.
I love seeing what everyone else is up to

hugs and bellyrubs to all
Lammy
Sules
Good morning girls..

Just touching base.. i feel better this morning... sorry to have just exploded and vented yesterday...

Lammy - i am also feeling very queasy too, but no vomitting... just the sensation of "oh about to.. nope!" I should also try eating early.. it helps...

Girls - whats the "favorite food" at the moment? tthumbs.gif I cant seem to find a specific food, but i do love drinking water - stupid i know, boring too! Unfortuantely i cant enjoy rich foods or really flavoursome stuff - rich sauces, spices etc...

I have another question - What type of exercise are you doing? I walk every other day, but i was thinking of getting into water areobics, yoga and medidation. I am really hoping to give birth without having to use the standard pain relief (hopefully if all goes well). Im thinking that a physically fit body and mind will help me in the process. When do i start, and can anyone suggest some good places in Melbourne?

Thank you in advance for your ideas

I feel sooo much better after reading about how sick you all are, I thought it was just me that started with MS so early, I feel like death warmed up.

As for the m-clothes, with Broden I just brought $10 Big W polo shirts and my jeans fitted me right up until the last week of being pg but this time I feel like I need them already, and i have this feeling its twins, which i'm sure its not its just the fact I feel so big so early.

riteo back to my lounge and bucket sick.gif .

oh and why is it our babies grow so fast after there born but the 40 weeks of being pg drags, i've only known for a week and it feels like a month

Hi Ladies....
Sorry I havent been on for a while...I had a nasty week and a bit long tummy virus thing sick.gif sick.gif sick.gif

all better now....except the pregnancy has made my asthma heaps worse!! I have gone from no meds to cortisone tabs,(for 4 days) a preventer and ventolin sad.gif I forgot this happened when I got pregnant wacko.gif

I had a scan today ( because I had a mc in Nov) and saw a heartbeat, I am glad I saw that but other than that, I saw nothing laughing2.gif a yolk sac etc but baby looked like a blob. I was 3 days out in my due date. I was going by my ovulation date and when I baby danced so I am 100% sure when conception happened( was the only time I baby danced that month cos I got sick lol) so its up to the mods if they wanna keep me at the 17th or as the 20th(new date)

I am one of the lucky ones...no ms now ( what I had was from the virus) I do get nausea when I need to eat and for a short time after, but that is settling now I eat small amounts more often. Oh on that note...to make sure I dont over eat I dish a normal plate up then divide it over a few plates and refridge it.

Re: maternity clothes...I am wearing my pants now, as I cant stand anything on my stomach atm.

well I better go hang out the washing. I will try to pop in a bit more

Hope you are all well? If you are going away this Easter - ENJOY! Its good fun eexcite.gif Happy Easter!! Be careful not to make yourself sick.gif with too much yummy chocolate! Would you believe im completely off it... what a thing to be off! Fancy that!! blink.gif

Sules - I am off chocolate too, and generally anything that is too sweet. I am normally a huge chocoholic. I ate some the other day and just didn't get that same "yummo" taste I normally do. A packet of tim tams that I bought actually lasted a week in the fridge. That is unheard of in this household. And I am drinking heaps of water too, really cold water. Strangely it is helping my m/s.

Tammy - I am so glad of the break too.

Amanda - LOL!!! I was totally confused with methemumma post. first post and a sorry that she hadn't posted in a while. blame preggo brain. Congrats on seeing the heartbeat too. that is wonderful news

Lyfin - glad your happy about the m/s!!

I managed to get a tummy bug yesterday and spent almost the entire day vomiting. sick.gif Hubby had an op on Monday and I was supposed to be looking after him except he ended up taking care of me. I couldn't even manage a shower until 2pm. Thank god by the evening I started feeling better and I am just back to feeling normal m/s now. Now I am just praying the rest of the family doesn't catch the bug. hands.gif

Teresa - Am with you on the water...extra good because it's everywhere and I don't have to wait to get to a shop!! And as for chocolate - think I've lost a couple of kg's just because I can't eat it - and what an awful time of year for it!!

My food of choice....POTATOES can't get enough!

My biggest problem, because I can't tell work yet, is that I was doing the CSIRO diet, and all of a sudden now I'm getting stuck into the carbs...I now have to eat lunch away from everyone else so they don't ask questions rolleyes.gif

Have a great easter everyone, and travel safe.

I agree with the water thing, I normally drink alot of water anyway but I seem to be drinking twice as much at the moment.

As for the chocolate, I am the opposite, I generally dont eat chocolate, but I love it at the moment, cant get enough blush.gif

And potato's, again I am the opposite I love them, can never have too much especially mashed, but at the moment, I am not interested in them at all!
I like tomato's or anything with a tomato taste!! strange?

Just finished cleaning the house and I am of to my aunties for lunch.

Hello lovely ladies,

Hope you are all having a nice Easter break... and not too much m/s!!

I had an early scan on Monday because I haven't had regular AFs since stopping depo provera... so anyway it turns out my due date is now the 23rd November - which is way out from the original 16th November!!
I saw the heart beat after holding my breath for what seemed liked forever - so it feels more 'real' now. Also saw the sac and the heart beat was 125bpm.

Not really feeling that sick to be honest. Sometimes at night I get a little queasy, but nothing I can't get over.

Sules - you were asking about exercise... I used to go to the gym every day and would run on the treadmill most days. My PT told me to slow down and take it easy. I've changed my program now to walking on an incline for 30 minutes and doing upper and lower body weights 3 days a week. She said to avoid pilates and yoga because it focuses on your core and some stances may make us preggies feel light headed. I've heard of some specific preggy yoga classes though - maybe some ladies in Melbourne may know of some in your area.

I've started to take Enliven probiotic superfood - it tastes like s@#t but it's full of nutrients for the bubby, so I'll keep taking it as long as I can. Other than that I haven't really changed my food intake. Desperately trying to avoid all those yummy Easter treats - but it's so hard when you smell fresh hot cross buns!

Off househunting again tomorrow - fingers crossed we find something soon!!

Warm fuzzies to you all

oh yeah, I can add granny smith apples to the list of foods that make my stomach feel a bit better. original.gif

nic - woohoo!! great news that you saw the heartbeat.

I am so bored today. Alex is watching disney channel, Jacob is outside playing with the dog and hubby is playing a game on the laptop. we are all having a very lazy day today.
NYE
afternoon all.

Bring on the chocolate I say ... my DH has a rule that he doesn't eat easter eggs before easter sunday. I don't like this rule, so had a small one thursday night!! tongue.gif I wasn't very popular.

I haven't found anything in particular that makes me feel off ... or anything in particular that makes me feel better either. I'm probably not paying enough attention.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to Baby Essentials and new to the idea of being pregnant!

I'm the last of five so I'm use to babies and seeing my sisters and sister in-laws pregnant but now it's happening to me.

I'm 6 wks and had an ultra sound this week that confirmed a heart beat is present.

Crazy days.

Look forward to visiting you all often at Baby Essentials!

Hello!

I agree - ginger beer, it's the best. I'm a fan of Saxby's. I also keep ginger biscuits and ginger + lemon tea bags at work.

At 6 wks I'm feeling good but queasy most of the time.
