we sat up in the family stand..

Well I enjoyed it, but was slightly disappointed he didnt play any of his old stuff, like Tears in Heaven etc.. more blues stuff...and it finished at 10pm.. and he started after 8pm.. ripped off for $80 something a ticket.. I thought he would have gone til at least 11pm. Roger waters did on friday night.

Hope who ever went enjoyed urselfs..

Hayley, mum looked after them.. and boy were my boobies hurting when we got home.. I couldnt feed Zahli quick enough

Interesting how people have different perceptions of a concert. Friends of mine went and loved it. I thought he did play some of the old stuff because I'm sure my friend said he played Layla which goes right back to the early 1970s?
*Donna*
We thought the concert was brilliant...

He played Wonderful Tonight and Layla, then as an encore did Cocaine and Crossroads - they are all oldies of his.

DH was a bit disappointed that he let his lead guitarist do most of the work but thought the young guy was just brilliant, not to mention the other guitarist he had with him as well.

Still, definatley worth the $$$ and we are just hoping he doesn't wait another 22 years before coming to Perth again.

DH loved it but I was a tad disappointed. Didn't know half of the songs though have to admit I only have his "best of" which of course isn't going to cover a tenth of his recordings.

Also suprised at how much time the other muso's spent doing solos.

Still a good night out though.

Clapton is more of a musos musician so unless you are really into his music you might not enjoy it as much as others.

We were enjoying watching the guitarist in the purple shirt play around with his feedback. Did you notice how he kept walking right up to the speakers, he was changing his effects and making a "chirping" noise. Clapton gave him a nice big grin the first time he did it.

My DH is a huge fan so we have all his albums and DVD's etc...
~*Kat*~
I am not the biggest fan.. as in I dont know all his music, my dh is.. and loved the concert.. I did love the guitars..and was quiet awe struck by the younger one. I only really know his older music, so the only ones I knew were Layla, cocaine and Wonderful tonight. I really did enjoy it, but I would have loved him to have played abit more of his older stuff.

Glad everyone enjoyed it
