I think I am going to sound really goofy wih this question ...
but - has anyone found it hard to say goodbye to their childs school teacher - that a kind of classroom bond developed and moving on is hard.
I am silly but DS's teacher this year was simply wonderful and an inspirational person, caring, always smiling, always ready to answer my very silly questions about DS without making me feel stupid, a simply wonderful person. I just cried my eyes out on the last day of school - well at night at home - because it was like saying goodbye to a good friend. DS was in Prep (NSW) so we went into the classroom to drop off/ pick up to sign the register - and she would always try and make eye contact if possible even if she couldn't actually talk.
Do teachers find it hard on the last days of school. I know this teacher uses a spare room to cry when the end of the year draws near as she will miss the kids. She has told me this.
This was a ramble and probably really silly but I needed to post anyway.
