i was wondering what its called when siblings are born in the same year but are not twins

Blimey, how much of a break would you have gotten to have two babies born in the same year!

It happens under all kinds of circumstances.

I had two babies in 2000. One in Feb and one in Dec.

I had heard "Irish Twins" too..

DH AUnty had two boys 8 months apart! She got pregnant 6 weeks after the first one was born, and then the second was premmie.

[A] What it means is easy enough to explain. It refers to siblings born in the same calendar year, or otherwise less than twelve months apart. It’s clearly a deeply derogatory comment about the stereotypical fecundity (and lack of contraception) of Irish Catholic families. It’s probably twentieth-century, but I can find little evidence that would help to tie it down (it may be relevant that it isn’t listed in the 1984 edition of Eric Partridge’s Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English). So far as I can tell from the places I’ve found it, all online, it’s primarily an American expression; it’s also known in Britain, but it doesn’t often find its way into print, no doubt because it is considered offensive.

I worked with a lady who at her 6 week check up after having a baby found out she was pregnant again. They were born in the same year.

I wonder if its called anything if siblings are born on the same day but different years ?

example, one child born 25 th of july 2000 and second child born 25 th july 2001

I have sisters born on the same day three years apart (My younger sister was born on my older sisters 3rd birthday). I'd be interetesed to know if that has a 'name'!

My old boss has 4 children, 3 of them are born on 17th January 3 years in a row, and the 4th was a November baby.

No joke!

My DP's old boss and his sister were born 8 months apart
