I was just wondering if anyone out there has had a breast augmentation/lift??

How did u find the experience?? how much?? Are you happy with them now??

Sorry about all the questions. I find after breastfeeding my son I have flaps of skin hanging (not a good site) and I feel really self conscious.

Any feedback would be apprecitated

thanks
Erin

Hi there - I have had two friends who have had it done, for the same reasons as you. They are both really happy, they had it done in Brisbane - $7000.00 Good Luck

Hi erin
i had it done in March this yr. the cost was $9000. alot yes, but well worth it for me. i likened my boobs to deflated balloons after breast feeding. they aren't huge now, just look full.
i'm very happy with the job. there is so much info u need to know and decisions to make, so do your reasearch
implants- smooth, textured, round, tear drop,
incision- under arm, nipple, under breast
surgeons differ on what they think is best, so best to form your own opinions. or even pay the initial specialist fee for a consult and recommendations. it's obligation free and u can go and ask the surgeoen or his nurse as many questions as u like.
i'm happy to answer any of your questions, just pm if u like.

Hi Erin, I don't know if you remember me but we were in the Due in November 06 group together?? I am having the same problem as you and finally decided that i wanted to go ahead with having the surgery. I am booked in with a surgeon in Sydney for the 12th of November. The cost for my surgery is about $9500. I love my suregeon and feel really comfortable with him. If you want to chat more about it you can PM me if you like? I have a fair bit of info about it and have tried to do as much research as possible. Renee xx

I had mine done in October last year. I have only ever been tiny, and have a tiny frame so I wanted something that looked natural and not really fake. I have 275cc round silicone gel textured implants, under the muscle.

They cost $8500 and the pain was definitely worth it....not that I had any major pain anyway! I think the hardest thing was having to sleep propped up on my back for a month or more. Mine took a good 6 months or more to "drop and fluff" (when they start to look really natural nd the muscle relaxes).

I now have lovely perky boobies with nice nipples. I wear a size 10C bra now!

I got a lot of information and advice off an american website...justbreastimplants.com (I think!)....check out the forums there.

Good luck (I say do it for sure!) and by all means PM me...

I paid $8,500 for mine, I am so totally rapt with them!
I had the procedure done in May this year.
I was expecting recovery to be a tad more painful than it was...I would describe the feeling as being "winded" , more than in pain unsure.gif , IYKWIM?

I went from an AA to a nice full C cup original.gif
LOVE THEM! original.gif

The website a PP suggested, is really good for pre-op reading, I think I read there everyday til I had mine done! tongue.gif

Best of luck! original.gif

I wonder if she went ahead with the procedure!

I've been thinking of getting mine done too, I was worried about the expense but DH is quite keen too laughing2.gif

Had mine done in May in Sydney $12,000, worth every cent! To have my self esteem back after 3 babies, especially when naked - I looked fine before in clothes as I was an expert in finding amazing gel bras but it was when they came off and I was naked that I felt - YUCK. So I did it for me, in clothes I look the same, but a bit bustier, and firm.
TheWizardsGirl
Maybe a silly question ... but the bigger you want to go ... the more it costs? Or is it more a standard flat fee for the procedure?

litlrayofsunshine My g/f went to the same surgeon as I did, & she had DD'S for $10k. original.gif

Its not true that you need to get them replaced, only if there is a problem. Most people these days do not have any problems and if they are happy with them can grow old with the same implants

And it is the same fee regardless of size.

Yes, I found the same thing when researching them original.gif

This actually depends on your surgeon wink.gif
I went to consults where some did charge extra, depending on larger sizes.
The surgeon I went to does charge more. wink.gif

I'm looking at having a tummy tuck and a either implants or a breast lift early next year. I haven't started seeing any surgeons as yet, as I'm really after some recommendations. I live on the NSW Central Coast, so would travel to either Sydney or Newcastle.

anyone ?

I am also thinking about getting some new boobs and would love some recommendations on surgeons in Sydney. original.gif

Dr Tavakoli in Sydney is great. Check out his website.

If I had enough money to do my boobies, this is the person that would do it:

Assoc Professor Dr Mark Gianoutsos. Rooms in Randwick (02) 9650 4980

Cute too wink.gif

This is a great thread, thanks for it.

just wondering how you are all going now that a couple of years have passed?

Since finishing up breastfeeding this year, my boobs have gone to 10AA/A and although I am trying hard to get past it (and buying up big in the gel bra department), it really has hit my self-esteem hard. I am pretty much completely flat and not feeling very womanly... even though I know the boobs do not make the woman...

There seems to be such a stigma about getting breast enhancement, so I am really happy to have read this thread where it shows that it is not so taboo! Thanks!

Tilly+Willy
since we're all asking for recommendations, can anyone a good surgeon in Perth for a breast augmentation?

fee1902

I think they just get better with time- they have softened up so much that they feel so real! original.gif
Have never regretted them for a second.

Dr James Chen did mine, & also quite a few friends since!
(I reckon I should be on a referral reward plan wink.gif ) haha.
He is in Brisbane, & also on the Gold Coast.
I had mine done in his Brisbane Clinic. original.gif

I am curious to know how much a boob lift/reshape is? I am happy with my size 12 E but would like them lifted to where thwey use to be...aka not on the carpet hehe!

Hope someone can help me out biggrin.gif

LOL I think he was in shock. He seems fine with the idea now, more than fine. I want to go from a small A (nearly AA) cup to a generous B cup, he says why not go for the C LOL. So I think he has come round to the idea now and actually seems to like the idea! Not that I was ever doing it for anyone else than myself.

Pretty expensive, am in the process of saving though.

Any reccs for surgeons in Melbourne? I def. want a plastic surgeon and not just a cosmetic surgeon.
reddana
I was about to start a new thread asking for recommendation of surgeons in Melbourne, but then came across this thread where Eviesmum asked the same question. I found recommendations for surgeons in nearly any other city...

So can any one recommend any surgeons in Melbourne?

I know I should be looking for a plastic surgeon - but there are still quite a few of them out there...

luckymummy02
check www.breastsurgery.com
It is melbourne based with a clinic in Kew and one also in Geelong.
Its an all woman run clinic that specialises in breast surgery, the surgeoun is Nieve Corduff (spelling might be off), she is fantastic and very helpful with all questions. I had mine done nearly 2 years ago at Kew and it cost $9700. I have never been happier with my breasts, actually When I was pregnant I was even happier as they were soo big and beautiful, it made me wish I had gone bigger!
