I am just wondering what your 4 year olds eat in a day? Sometimes I wonder whether my son eats enough. If you could tell me what your 4 year old and the types of foods they like that might help me work out if he is ok? Thanks

Caleb is 4 in april and this is what he eats on a typical day.
breakfast
2 weetbix and yoghurt or a bowl of sultana bran
morning tea
1-2 pieces of fruit, loves all fruit
lunch
1 sandwich on whole grain bread, eats peanut butter, honey jam, vegemite or chicken
afternoon tea, a few bikkies or fruit again
dinner
very reluctant to eat, is always an issue, loves some meals but hates others. we give him half hour to eat then he loses his plate. He prefers stir fries and spag bol over plain sausage and veg for example, he loves the flavours but hates plain meals.
he also has a full cup of milk 4 times a day and water.

Our DS, 4 in April - seems very similar to Bueller - with lots of fruit & veg, also salami, twiggy sticks, fritz (in SA only! 'Devon' perhaps elsewhere?) - he eats all of our ordinary dinners - like risottos, roasts, fritatta, fish, tacos, stir-fry etc.
He grazes throughout the day, and will eat constantly if at home. He is very lean though, and grazing doeasn't disrupt his mealtimes.
He drinks juice, milk, occasionally cordial and soft drink at parties only.
We don't do the time limit but I do expect him to make a reasonable effort to finish all or most of what he's given.
He'll normally eat dessert, or have a banana before bedtime too.
