My 2.9yr old son loves playing with his trucks and cars..
I have noticed lately that he lines them all up..
either side by side or one behind the other.
Some times even in size order..
Or in the same type eg, semi's together, diggers together ect..
Even when he packs them into the toy box, they are side by side..

Anyone ealse notice this???

Lisa...

Yep, my DD#1 has been doing this for some months - all her toys get sorted into sizes, colours etc original.gif Quite impressive sometimes, lol. I gather it's an important stage in their development (recognising and relating different sizes, patterns, colours etc) and quite normal original.gif

Cheers,
Julie

My DS is almost 3 also lines up all his cars and trucks he has been doing this for several months. We were surprised when he first started doing it and when we put a bit of thought into it we realised that he would see cars in rows in carparks and cars in lines in traffic etc so i guess it all makes sense.
