DD 3.5 years has been toilet trained for a year and recently has become totally obsessed with going to the toilet repeatedly saying she is scared she will wet her pants. She was never like this when i was training her and i never needed to remind her to go unless we where going on a long trip. It happens both when we are out and at home. She will do a small wee or nothing then i will here her back in there 10 minutes later. I know she does not have a medical problem, it's purely mental. Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me mad! Leanne

Are you sure she hasn't got a uninary tract infection?

I don't have any suggestions at all. DS went through a patch where he had to go every half hour. I took him to the doctor to rule out an infection or diabetes (very rare). Then he just went back to normal, so I still don't know what the cause was.

Sorry not much help at all, am I?

My son went through that stage at around the same age as your daughter. He would need to visit every toilet when we were out and at home go every 15 minutes. He got over the fascination fairly quickly and that was it. I would get your gp to check her up though just in case it is an infection.
