Absolute pathological phobia about RATS!!!! OMG, terrified! Funnily enough when people have them as pets, or in pet shop windows they don't particularly worry me (wouldn't want to pat one though!), but the thought of a feral rat just about makes me scream. Once was at a movie where the scene ended with this rat jumping at this dead guys face, the thing jumped right at the camera with its fangs bared, I had to leave the theatre and was hyperventilating.

Magpies, never been swooped, but they are everywhere at my house, I reackon the people that rented here before us must have fed them, as they hang out here all the time. I am scared of Dakota getting swooped and can't even leave her outside sitting on a blanket while I get another load of washing or something, always have to bring her in as they just sit around the backyard, and on the washing line and STARE, like they are stalking us, YUCK. My poor dad used to get swooped all the time on the way to the footy club, ripped his poor bald head apart they did, until we got him a hat, then they stopped!!

PEACH SKIN, can't stand the feel of it, sends shivers down my spine. Can't buy peaches for Gaz, as can't touch them. If he buys them he has to put them where I can't see them, as even looking at them gives me the feeling of having touched them!!

I used to be scared of fish, as once I went down a waterslide that was in the water at the beach, and when I got to the bottom and looked down and there were fish slithering all around my legs, I was about 5 or 6 and it freaked me right out. I might have gotten over this one though, a couple of years ago in Vanuatu we went snorkelling all the time, with hundreds of fish around me, and I even went scuba diving. Will never get over my phobia of rats though, never!

I'm terrified of barbed wire - I fell onto some old rusty barbed wire when I was little when I slipped from a fence I was scaling. Trust me it kills so I now treat barbed wire with respect.

The other fears include c*ckroaches, spiders, ciccadas (I hope I spelt that right), rats, sharks...the usual fears.

Really strong, loud wind. It terrifies me because I can't see it.

Heights - they make me feel sick and I feel like I am getting drawn towards the edge.

Driving in a car on a mountain road and there is a huge drop down - I always have nightmares about driving off down a really sharp drop.

Oh and biting into a woollen jumper - this just makes me shudder and my teeth go all funny.

Cheers, Stace

Terrified of birds, any bird, big, small, one or a whole flock. Hate the flapping, pecking beady eyed clawed little monsters. Probably steams from the fact my cousin locked me in their pigeon coup when I was 8. PIG!!!! Getting panicky just thinking about them!!!

OK, you're all going to think I'm a big wuss, and very strange, but I am petrified of waterslides!
When I was little I heard the story of the razor blades stuck half way down the slide and since then I have never been able to get on one. Even enclosed dry slides give me the willies... blush.gif
I used to be scared of spiders, but since I became a mum I have conquered that fear ('cos more often than not I'm the spider chaser-awayer)

I am afraid of not waking up of having a dream i have had since I was small.
i am in a cave and these huge boulder rocks come flying down at me and i see one big huge one and i wake up before it hits me.
(some one told me that if it hits me in my dream i wont wake up)

Also holucinations(sp) when i am somewhat asleep.
I start seeing things like spiders on walls and celings, people outside my window and we live in ahuge high set house, people walking through the house.
Shadows coming through the windows.
i sound like a real cry baby now hey

Another thing I'm scared of - Polystirien(sp) cups. I can't handle these things, went to buy a snow cone tonight (love those) and they only had those cups I almost ran a mile. The same with having milkshakes in them I usually find out after I've ordered so I give them to DH or I'll freak to much. Have no idea why though.

Bellamy, for what its worth, I don't think you're crazy, I heard that waterslide razor blade story many years ago and to this day, whenever I get on a waterslide (and it is not very often) I think about it. Too horrific to be imagined!

reptiles and insects - anything creepy crawly I HATE.
Heights - not too fond of that helpless feeling of not having my feet firmly on teh ground.
Smallenclosed spaces - hate elevators with a passion.

Bellamy I never went on a real water slide till I was almost 19. I can't handle being out of control and was always scared I'd go over the sides. Never heard of the razor thing but I'll add that to my reasons as I haven't been on one since.

OMG Stacy and Kylie - The woollen jumper thing! I thought it was just me! It makes the nerves in my teeth jangle just thinking about it! Also I get the same effect from thinking about putting steel wool in my mouth (why on earth you ever would doesn't seem to matter!)

Spiders - any sort - hate them.

Moths - revolting and fluttery and dusty.

Magpies - hate the swooping. In our local kids playground they have signs up warning about magpie attacks. Now I know they're a protected species but come on I think kid safety is a bit more important

Dark - I get completely freaked out if it is pitch black and I can't see anything. Happened last night when we had a blackout and I literally knocked a shelf clear of stuff in my panic to find the torch blush.gif

C*ckroaches - eww.

Escalators - saw a woman fall down one when I was 5 and have never forgotten it. Now I stand there with a death grip on the handrail and I never attempt to take the pram on it since that would involve one less hand holding on!

Something happening to DS - my WORST fear ever. Can't even imagine how I'd cope with that.
