Hi all

I know, I havent posted in AGES!! But I'm back now- spurred on by a pm from fairey. Thanks for thinking of me lovely!

I am not even going to try and catch up with everyone, have had a brief read and wanted to say a huge CONGRATS to loulla! Sounds like a dream birth! And congrats to Pz about finding out youre having a girl and a boy! that is just aweseom- best of both worlds! A guy at work's wife had boy and girl twins and they didnt find out what they were having, so it was a lovely surprise!

And finally- welcome to all the first and second trimester ladies- hope you are enjoying your time in here

AFM it was my last day at work on Friday, it felt completely surreal and weird, I have been going there for the last 10 years and to now suddenly stop going. Its truly a new chapter of my life that I'm about to embark on! Today is my first day of mat leave and I plan on doing absolutely nothing!

Pregnancy has been going well, I'm tracking along well to have a nice normal birth (fingers crossed). Ob says I havent missed a beat so I'll take comort in that. I've got a list of things to do in my time off so I'm going to start on that tomorrow!

Hope everyone is well xxx

Jlove shout out if you go a bit early & happen to be in hospital between 8-13 August !! Be good to put a friendly EB face to a name if you want to .... (you're NW right?)

JLove - Ah my sweet... I didn't mean to guilt you into posting! It was more of a... "if you've had your baby yet, you'd better flippin' tell me!!" sort of message! And of course I've been thinking of you - I think we're due a couple of days apart! Enjoy this first glorious day of maternity leave! Aim to have a pyjama day at some point this week! It's bliss!

Liltuss - OMG - I can't believe you know when you'll be meeting your baby! That's just incredible! What happens if you go into spontaneous (spelling?) labour between now and then? Soooo exciting!

Blue Cup - Don't get me wrong - I absolutly LOVE feeling bubs (GREAT way to know that things are going well in there). And it's pretty spectacular seeing my belly move in giant waves and what not... just now that Wonder Baby is getting quite big - so is the strength. I remember the first time I felt bubs... it was like a bubble popping... now - HAI YA!!
Can't wait until you can feel you're little darling bubby!!

PCM - Isn't there one called Angel Maternity?

Ah, Maternity Wear. I'm a size 20-22 (which I definitely WILL NOT BE for the next pregnancy!) and did you know that basically anyone over a size 16 doesn't have a hell of a lot of options in the way of maternity wear? It's ridiculous.
So - I went to Autograph and bought a pair of jeans with spastic elastic, bought a pair from BeMe (plus size Rockmans), and some yoga pants from Target. These 3 pairs of pants have been my saviours. And I didn't really start to show until 20 odd weeks anyways (already had so much of a tum wink.gif). I have lots of loose flowing tops anyways, so tops haven't been an issue. I spent less than $100.
So don't forget that spastic elastic can be your friend!!

Nothing new to report original.gif

PJ day ... mmm, great idea Fairey, will book myself in this week. Woolies has massive ladies flanny PJs on special atm for $8 - just bought myself a pair so will hang in those all day later in the week.

If we go early, we'll still be looking at a CS. Combo of baby size (85-90th percentile), my age, fact that I know I have a narrow cervix (from IVF) and GD. OB still gave us a choice for natural but when I pushed him on how likely he thought it'd be having trouble, he said around 50% chance. So we decided to go for CS. I have another appt this afternoon with OB to run through final 'logistics'. No guarantees he won't come early of course but we're not engaged yet & I haven't really had much in the way of BHs etc. Still ... you never know !!

All the best ...xxxxx

Wow congrats Rara. I hope your little one is doing well in NICU and i wish you lots of strength for the road ahead and a wonderful homecoming in a few months!

Spent 16 in hospital today with suspected kidney infection which luckily turned out to be nothing... But bad and scry being woken up by crazy pain in the middle of the night...

In better news... I cant remember if i wrote in here that i had applied for a new 2 year position with my current employer... Was freakingout about interviewing with a bump before an unknown panel... But yay i got the offer or the position today and very stoked!

Hope everyone else is travelling along nicely...

Pcm have you had your morph scan yet?

Very quick me post! Sorry....

Anyway.... 19 week scan today and we're having a bbluestork.gif

He looks absolutely adorable and everything looks to be in good working order. I was so nervous about the morphology more than finding out the gender....

Hope everyone is well.

It's all still sinking in and feelin much more real today. I have both the normal and reconstructed US images of bubba and they are all so cute!

Liltuss- I will do and yes I'm at NW. However I have a feeling that bug will be either late or around about on time- so that means any time after 16 August

Fairey-
of course I would have told you if I'd had bug! haha And i hear you about the pain from some of the baby's movements! Sometimes I ask bug if he/she could calm down a little for me! Ah yes PJ day- had one the first day on Monday! it was the best. I've started reading that book birth skills- hope I will be able to finish it before bug comes!

Rara- wow 27 weeks. I am sending positive vibes your way that the bub will grow quickly and be healthy. Hope you are doing ok and enjoying it all as much as you can!

Dr superfruity- congrats on your job! and scary about your pain but lucky it was nothing. Hope all is well with you

PCM- congrats on the sucessfull morph scan! And on the little baby boy! Yes arent the ultrasound images just so amazing and cute! This was my favourite scan (apart from me being nervous before hand) because it is just so incredible what they show you about the baby- really a living miracle

AFM nothing much new to report. Have a facial and massage tomorrow so cant wait for tomorrow. My mother in law is coming over in an hour with probably TONS of food so that I dont have to cook for a week! Have been buying all the last minute things I need for bug and the nursery is slowly starting to take shape so its all coming together. Apart from that just waiting to meet bug!
