I have made a doctors appointment for this coming Friday for my implanon to be removed. I first had it inserted on January 23rd this year. DH have decided to start TTC for our second (and last) baby after our wedding anniversary in September.

I just wanted to know if anyone had an issues TTC after having the implanon removed? DD was conceived after two months of TTC after I came off the pill.

Thanks in advance happy.gif

I had mine removed after 3 years in August last year. After that, I went on the pill for 2 months, stopped taking the pill and was pregnant a few weeks later original.gif

I have heard of so many horror stories where women find it extremely hard to conceive after getting the implanon removed. That is my biggest fear at the moment, that and actually getting the implanon removed laughing2.gif

Thanks for your insight. I hope I am lucky in that sense!

Ok people, I'm new to the site... Need help. Well I have an 11 yr old. Now ttc after yrs of contraception. Had implant removed 13th Oct 2012, got AF 13th Nov 2012, next AF 21st Dec 2012, had spotting brownish hardly needed panty liner for 2 days on 10th Jan 2013. But no proper period since 21/12/12. I took 2 preg test BFN! Haven't done a test for about a week or so. Me and my partner do the deed pretty much daily sorry (tmi) but my point is... No probs there. Has anyone else had there cycle messed up from impalanon/nexaplanon? Hard to know what my normal cycle should be as did not bleed while on depo or implant (total 7ish yrs- no period)! Help!

Hi dollsandtrucks, sounds like we could be in a similar boat! I had mine removed on the same day, so I'll keep you posted!

Would be my first though (not sure if that makes a difference or not).

I had my implanon removed on 12/12/12. My first "cycle" was counted starting from a withdrawal bleed, so not sure if I should count that as a cycle or not... if you do, this is cycle 2, if you dont, this is cycle one. I guess we can wait and see together!

Good luck! And baby dust to us original.gif
