We can't all be a Princess, someone has to sit & clap as I go by

This post has admin approval:

Are you the parent of a child over 5 years of age and who has been diagnosed with idiopathic toe walking?

Are you an adult who toe walked as a child or still does?

We are interesting in hearing if idiopathic toe walking has or currently impacts on quality of life. Idiopathic toe walking is diagnosed when there are no medical conditions causing the toe walking. It can be present in children and adults.

There are a number of ways you can take part in this online survey.

- If you are the parent of a child who is over 5 who has been diagnosed with idiopathic toe
walking, we would like to invite you to participate.
- If your child is over 8, they are welcome to complete the survey themselves, they will be ask
specific age appropriate questions only
- If you are an adult who toe walked as a child or still does, we also invite you to participate.

This survey will take between 10-20 minutes and you can find more information here:

Hello Cyliebug. I had to google this to find out what it was and I've just sat here for the past hour reading all sorts of links to it.

To make a long story short I believe my nephew and his father (my BIL) all have this. I will be talking to my SIL tomorrow telling her to look into this. I've never heard of this.

My nephew is 13 and is a toe walker. He has social problems at school. He hates wearing clothes that have buttons but cannot explain why. He has some other bizzare traits that we have never been able to work out.

Good luck with your study. Thank you for hopefully shedding some light on something I know nothing about.

Many thanks to you both.
smudgiekiss - thank you, I would really appreciate you passing it on to your family members. Toe walking often runs in the family and I would appreciate hearing about that from both the adults and your nephew.

Rawr - many toe walker's are very clever cookies! Would love it if your son would also complete it, the questions are quite similar but phrased appropriately for children aged over 8. I would love to hear your son's take on it.
