Hi all,

Just thought I would pop in and say hi. I do read the posts regularly that you all have been putting up and I feel like in some ways that I am still going through this journey with you all. I know I don't post very much in here but I want you to know that you were all a great support for me and I am still here if you need anything as well. bbighug.gif
Spottedcat - I hope all goes well with this cycle

Magenta - good luck with starting another cycle at the end of the month as well. It's easier said than done to not think about it hey?

Waiting - it's great news that you're pregnant and seeing the HB is definitely reassuring as well as bubs growing well. Make sure you put your feet up lots!

Luckyme1 - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and I hope you get through the dreaded 2ww unscathed.

Hi to all the newbies in here.....the girls in here are a great support and are always willing to pick you up when you're down or give you advice on their experiences.

I'll check back in soon and hope that you all get some good news!!
xx

Hi everyone

thespottedcat - it's funny that some of us want our period to come back, and some of us dread it.

Magenta - hooray for the roundabout. Once this has finished we'll have b..'s of steel.

Waiting - let the spotting leave now. I can understand how nervous you must feel. Let's hope you can get through the next few weeks till the 13 week scan. It's so hard, but take each day as it comes.

AFM - I 5dp5dt but feeling more crampy like AF cramps before my period. Feeling like my period will come soon. Had a cry about it and feel like it will never happen for us. I know this is my first cycle but I'm so scared of going through this multiple times and it still not working, at $4000 per shot it's so expensive. We will only do it three or four times though and then think about donor eggs. Does anyone know if it is too early to have period like crampy feelings? Or is it a possibility that it is my period coming?

Well the Journey begins in 2 weeks!

FS was overly happy with the results of the blood tests and explained in detail a bit better of how my amh reading meant. (70% of people have higher readings to me im in the 30% with lower but not that low - menopause predicted at 45)
So it seems i start taking the Synarel Nasal spray in a few weeks...and i think thats it from what i understood. Also have a proper nurses talk booked it so that might clear up other things - but i think besides my stuffed up tubes im doing ok.

Very excited and i guess once we have some embryos we can decide on how many to transfer (if we get decent ones). I was surprised at how laxed FS was about the number we transfer 1 or 2...he did tell us some hard facts too so something to ponder.

I must say its crazy to imagine in 6 weeks we may finally be getting somewhere!

Hope everyone is well original.gif

Proud BFAR mum 12 months!
Hi ladies,

Just stalking and wanted to say yay EmbracingIVF! Fingers and toes crossed for you.

For those of you that remember me (for those that don't: age 32, 1 DD easily conceived, FSH 22, AMH 2.5, did chiro and acupuncture, BFP on 13th cycle), we are almost at 21 weeks now and have another DD. I have a single umbilical artery which can be a bit of an issue but baby is 100%.

Will be checking back in for some more good news original.gif

Thankyou Mum2oneds - so nice to hear from you.. love to hear how you are going?
and thankyou too bellefin.. how exciting to be having another DD after all that fear and stress of high FSH ect... It goes to show it doesn't always mean anything in the end...

Luckyme1 - just wanted to say i felt like my period was coming for a week before this positive so i think that can be a good sign.. fingers crossed

Best of luck to everyone else out there.. god knows i hung around and just felt it wasn't going to happen and then it did... so... sometimes it just takes time

AFM i did a repeat blood yesterday at 5 weeks and the hcg was 6500 - so everyone seems fairly confident with that... fingers crossed for the scan in 2 weeks... so glad this journey is potentially ending

fingers and toes and everything else crossed

Hi Ladies,

I hope that it is ok that I join this group? I am part of the Edurance Team in the TTC# 1 Section.

My name is Alana I am 30 years old and had an AMH test last September that came back at 2.1 I have done 3 rounds of IVF and have collected no more that 4 eggs of which generally only 2 fertilize but have never made it to a transfer. my doctor only does blastocyst transfers and they never make it that far sad.gif
Anyway I am now doing a back to back cycle but that has not started off that great my day 2 FSH Was 20!!! I had my day 9 scan yesterday and I had no follicles over 1 and my estorgen was 602. I have another scan and Bloods tomorrow.

I just want to see what others ladies with LORs doctors are doinging I am currently on 300iu Gonal F and 75IU of pregnal and do your doctors allow earlier transfers?

Thanks Heaps

Hello, I thought I'd better introduce myself again, it has been a few months since I have posted.

We have a beautiful DS who is 2.5 years old, we wern't trying when we conceived him (as it always turns out to be that way), and last year (may) we had a miscarriage - blighted ovum - and once again we wernt trying. So since Aug last year, we decided we would try for another baby, and here we are 13 cycles on and no BFP. I had bloods done may this year, AMH in May and that was 1.4 and FSH was 20.

As you all probably understand, the emotions were not good.. I was in shock, being 27 and had conceived x 2 I thought I was very fertile. I googled all my bloods before seeing the FS so already knew what she was going to tell me. IVF was suggested and only given a 25% chance that it would work (which is the same as a normal couple trying to conceive naturally).

Since March, i took it upon myself to have acupuncture once a week, and have done that right up until last week. I have also seen a naturopath since May, and have been on herbs and various supplements since then. I have also seen someone who does 'body talk', similar to kinesology where they ask the body what it needs. She wants me to stop most of the supplements and acupuncture, she said that my body has forgotten how to conceive and that i need to have faith in it.

We have just bought a house, so now i cannot really afford to keep up with the acupuncture, herbs, supplements, body talk etc!!!

I have also changed my diet to a low GI - well most of the time anyway. I have also starting using eco bodywash, washing powder and dishwashing liquid. I have cut out coffee, and tea and only drink green tea and a chai latte occasinally at a cafe.

I am determined that I will be able to conceive again, despite the stats, I have good and bad days. Today is a bad day, I guess i have been in denial and that is why i have not been apart of this group, I feel cheated that my womenhood is not the same as others.

I know I need to be grateful that we already have a DS, but the experience of him has made us want another child so much.

At this stage IVF is scheduled for OCtober, and I am really really scared, the thought of going under general is making me feel sick, and I keep having horrible thoughts that i am going to die trying to have another baby, when we already have one. I am begging my body to do it on its own, I know it can as there have been others from this group with AMH lower than mine that have gone ahead to fall pregnant naturally!

I guess the positive out of spending all the money on herbs etc means that the quality of my eggs will be better going into IVF - although FS believe that you can not improve the quality of your eggs - so hard to know what to believe when you have western and eastern medicine contradicting each other! My body talk lady said there is new research at Havard which show that you regenerate new eggs each month which means that AMH means nothing.

A part of me wants to get my AMH and and FSH done again, but I am not sure how i will cope if they are both worse.

So sorry for my rant, I wish everyone in here all the baby dust in the world. It has been so uplifting seeing the BFPS which have resulted from this group.

Oh alana banana and bex it is terribly crap isn't it... stay away from google if you can .. i just found that did my head in..
If it is any consulation (and i don't want to jinx myself as I am only 6 weeks along hands.gif ) but i had an fsh of 23 at one point and an amh of 2.5. After a few unsuccessful IVF attempts I had success on my 2nd IUI (without any drugs) I was on iridologist herbs which really brought down my FSH to 8-13 monthly and I went on a holiday and really felt good about everything and then I went on a 2 month diet of 2 large green juices daily/ no gluten/no dairy/no sugar and i did do accupuncture as well. (PM me if your in sydney and you need any recommendations)

I feel the diet had a big impact as I felt much more energised than I had felt since having DD. I was told I had a 10%chance of another child but I always felt I was fertile.

Try not to worry too much about FSH and AMH there are other things at play and they are not the only predictors... I hope you both feel better soon and have some good news coming your way... it is hard hearing all bad news - I felt devastated. But the last doctor I saw said FSH and AMH are fluctuating and not to be too relied upon. My DH never believed the worst he just felt things were fine and would work out. ALl I am trying to say in my longwinded way is its all still possible!! Goodluck!!
