I've had bleeding in the first three pregnancies OP. One I was hospitalised for, yet all children are well and healthy.

It's one of those things that you can not know the outcome of, except that so often, it doesn't influence the pregnancy.

It is easier to have a pregnancy with no bleeding, but ultimately, we've all heard the stories of missed m/c so really, there are no guarantees with any of this procreation stuff.

It's not very comforting, I know, but I suspect you will be like me, and it will be nothing.

I had one at around 11 weeks. my Daughter is now almost 2 good luck.

I had a suchorionic bleed from 6 to 14 weeks. During this time I spotted/bled daily (anything from brown to pink to red) and at 11 weeks passed a large blood clot and a lot of red blood.
I had a number of sonograms to reassure myself (though inevitably I always had a big bleed a day or two later and the panic would begin again). It is a scary time and I really feel for you.

My son is now a healthy 2.5 year old, so it didn't effect him.
As someone else pointed out, no bleeding can also be a missed miscarriage (I've had one of those - absolutely no bleeding but a missed miscarriage discovered at 12 weeks).

So good to read stories like mine. Today I am bleeding but I'm doing ok. Yesterday, not so much bleeding but I was a mess........all this going on with pregnancy hormones! AWESOME!

I know what you mean, About time, I keep needing to have ultrasounds, then I'll feel good for a bit and then have more bleeding. Just taking it day by day.

I had one at around 6w until 8w, my DD is now 21 months old I was very worried as i had a miscarriage 2 months before and the bleeding was exactly the same. My doctor had me go for bloodtests every 2 days from when the bleeding started until I could get into an ultrasound. After they saw a heartbeat they were confident everything would be ok.

I had one at 12 weeks with DD and bled very heavily for 7 days and then that was it for the pregnancy. I ended up having an amnio for other things and my amniotic fluid was very badly stained with old blood (it was dark brown) but everything turned out fine in the end and DD's 9 months now.

Best of luck, it's hard not to worry but hopefully everything will turn out just fine

Back to hospital last night (4 times in 2 weeks!) and they have finallly referred me to a specialist pregnancy clinic. I'm so confused as I keep getting different "vibes" off different people. Some act as if I could miscarry at any moment and others don't seem too concerned so I am really looking forward to speaking to an expert.

Thanks so much for your stories! I am really confused by the information I am finding. Some says only a slightly increased risk of miscarraige and others talk about larger risk. I'm going to go with only slightly................all I can do.

I had one at 13 weeks with #5 and one of my DD's had one with her #2 who is now 8 weeks old.
Mine was just one huge bleed with a clot, her was constant spotting and bleeding from 6 weeks to 12 weeks.
Having a subchorionic haemorrhage does increase the chance of miscarriage but it doesn't mean the risk is high.
As each day goes past the risk actually decreases as the size of the haemorrhage in comparison with the size of the sac is what increases or decreases the risk. If the bleed is larger than the sac there is more likely to lose the pregnancy but it still is not a surity.
The bleed is not placental which is why the pregnancy is more likely to stay put.
As the pregnancy progresses the weight/size of the uterus will mean the bleed will either be passed vaginally or it may be just reabsorbed. Many women will never actually know they have had a SCH because they don't ever have vaginal bleeding.

This is a hard situation and one that you will probably feel anxious about right up until your baby is in your arms. There are never any guarantees for any pregnancy outcome but hopefully you will be like the majority of those who have a Subchorionic Haemmorrhage and have a successful one.

Have had MAJOR SCH's with both my current pregnancy and last pregnancy. Masses of blood, clots and cramping. Last pregnancy is now a little 19 month old girl. Current pregnancy is now 13 weeks with twins.

SCH can be very scary but I think mostly it turns out OK. Will cross fingers for you.
