Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has been electrocuted whilst pregnant? I'm currently 8 weeks and I just got zapped by a light switch in our half reno'd house... Mercy said there's not much they can do if I feel fine. But that doesn't help the stress... Will be pushing for a scan tomorrow now! Thanks in advance! |

Well aware of what the term "electrocuted" means. However there's no other term particularly suitable. And considering as it could mean fetal death it is applicable. But thank you PP for feeling the need to poke fun while I stress the hell out. Thanks for your responses everyone else. I'll be going to the dr's first thing. Sorry you think people are poking fun but I think they've really tried to alleviate your stress rather than anything else. There is a big difference between being electrocuted and getting an electric shock in terms of damage to you and your baby. You did ring your caregiver and I am certain if they were at all worried about your health they would have advised you to go to an ED. If you weren't effected other than a quick shock then your baby almost certainly would never know it happened. Good luck today. |
