Hi,

I am new to using Ovulation packs so i would like to hear from others on how well they work ect.

My issue is i had a D&C on the 2nd May and its not the 5th May,i did not having a D&C due to a loss i had one due to bleeding problems becuase i have Two wombs and two cervixes and one ov for each so they Gyno keeps a close eye on me and wanted to do a D&C to have a look around and give me a clean out.

i have been on the pill for about a month now or just over becuase i've been on the pill for 8 years and wanted to give my body a break anyway.....

I've been started getting lower back pain and wanted to see if i could be ovulating since its around time for me to ovulate so just for the hell of it i took one of my ovulations tests and i got a faint positive...

if it possible for me to be ovulating even though i had a D&C a few days ago? we arnt trying but if i did fall pregnant we would be happy.

im confused becuase i didnt think i would ovulate after my D&C until much later, i do have a 30 to 31 day cycle if that helps.

Thanks wink.gif

You can't get faint positives. Positive OPK's are AS DARK or darker then the control line.
I imagine that the back pain could have something to do with your surgery. Rest up.

If the line is faint, then it's not a positive. Ovulation tests are not the same as pregnancy tests.

For an ovulation test to be positive, the test line has to be as dark as, or darker than the control line.

If your test line is lighter than the control line, then it's a negative test.

Also, if you've been on the pill (or are on the pill the at the moment, I can't understand your post) then you aren't ovulating. The pill prevents you from ovulating, that's how it stops you from becoming pregnant.

However, are you off the pill now? If you are off the pill, then yes, you might be ovulating.

Don't get too excited yet, apart from possibly ovulating a few days after a D & C, you definitely shouldn't be DTD for at least a week or two to let your cervix go back to its original size after being dilated to avoid internal infection. with two cervixes though maybe this doesn't apply

just a thought...

Just to give you an idea of what I was talking about..... this is my OPK's from this month.

Only cycle day 16 and 17 are positives. Because they are as dark as, or darker than the control line. All the others, are negatives, because they are lighter than the control line original.gif
