I put mine in the dishwasher as well. Always come out clean and sparkly.

Another one who uses a dishwasher (when we have a dishwasher). Too easy.

But not all rangehood filters are designed to go in a dishwasher!!!!! (I suspect the cheaper rangehoods might be more susceptible to this) Check first, otherwise it might come out without any shine (which is what happened to my cousin).

OP yours look normal- the oil catches in the filters and that's the drips.

Soak in hot water in a sink with SUGAR SOAP- it easily takes the grease away quickly. I usually rinse then change the water and do it a 2nd time- you will see the water become all murky and greasy very fast.
Never tried the dishwasher!

I assumed everyone washed them in the dishwasher. How else do you get all the grease gunk off?

As other PP's have said I soak them in the laundry sink using dishwashing liquid, may take 2 goes to get the grease out then a final wash and they are like new.
I'm too scared to put them in the dishwasher in case I break them sad.gif

We have a Westinghouse rangehood so not sure if they would be durable enough.

woofer now when I say once a month that is on a good run, sometimes my 'month' can go for 60+ days wwhistle.gif

Thanks for the dishwasher tip, I think I will give it a go as I'm over the sink thing
