I have a rough 4 hourly routine, because my son was a snacker and it was spilling over into his nights. He seems to sleep better with big feeds rather than frequent snacks. But if he's sick or upset or it's hot or I want him to go to sleep or he seems hungry I'll offer a top up.
I find it's easier to plan outings, babysitting, and it fits in with his daycare days where he has ebm and they can't reuse a half finished bottle, so he can only have 2 feeds there. |

My bub (not so bubby anymore!), now 12.5 months, has only JUST, in the past two weeks or so, settled into something resembling a routine, feed-wise. I used to just follow feed/play/sleep and feed when in doubt -- I still do!
